FSU has 3 losses..

One of our 2 losses is to FSU yes, but week 1 on a missed XP to tie it, then continual improvement (barring Tenn game)

There is a huge difference in losing to a team in week one by one point and losing by 25 to a team in week 8.

LSU really messed itself up not being prepared for FL State.

There is a reason the cfb playoff poll comes put late in the season. Recent losses weigh more than losses at the beginning of the season.

Maybe because we smacked them by like 25

Head to head matters only if everything else is roughly equivalent.

They are 7-1 and we are 6-2.

If team A is 10-1 with a 25 point loss to team B who is 1-10, do you rank team B higher because they won by 25? Of course not, because their season accomplishments are not otherwise equivalent.

7-1 vs 6-2 isn't quite so obvious as that example, but it shows that it's not unreasonable to rank the 7-1 team higher even with the loss.

Honestly wouldn't be supriswd if we were #10 solely for TV ratings. #6 vs #10 looks a lot better than #15 when it comes to viewership.
