Steve Spurrier might be my favorite mother f@&*er in the world. I love that guy.

I thought that Florida had come out against permanent rivals too. What is their motivation for voting for permananent rivals? (Muschamp controlled by Sagan)?

Also part of the reason we see less BCS bowls, SEC titles, and more shots at the BCSCG, but if you love it thats all that counts.

Its time to do away with the permanent other division foe. Its not fair that Bama gets to skip the tougher east schools year after year, it seems. Who do they miss this year Georgia and Fla, AGAIN.

I love that Spurrier is speaking out about this. More people will now start to see the real issue at hand instead of Les being whiny.

Florida AD and coach need to man up and take a stand because if they don't and they have to play Georgia, LSU and Carolina every year while Bama plays Kentucky and Tennessee, that natty is going to be evasive. Man the F up and don't worry about being perceived as whiney. MAN UP. Leaving it up to Slive to make the decision is leaving it up to the Bama alum/ex-employee who makes the schedule. Corruption rules!

I enjoy playing Florida every single year... it is a test and a game to circle on the calendar... why only have Alabama and hope Georgia/Florida is on schedule every year?

So do I but just like Auburn's Oak trees, all traditions don't have to be kept in tact when they make everything around them look like absolute shite. The SEC is cowering to Bama, Auburn, Georgia, and Tennessee. Why the hell would Mizzou be in favor of playing a permanent cross division rival? They never play Arkansas anyway. I'm for whatever schedule they decide where Bama is on an equal playing field as everyone else. It is a crock of shite for them to get away with not playing the better schools in the East every year.

aTm is added to Bama's schedule every year and what the frick do they do???? Move them to early in the season. It's a GD joke and everybody knows it. It's time the SEC office grows a set of nuts and does something about it.

Wonder why the Mississippi schools and Vandy and Kentucky are opposed to the idea.

Yep, those four are fine with the setup. Remove them and UT, UGA, Bama, AU and guess what? There's 3 schools for (Arkansas, UF, and Mizzou) and 3 schools against (LSU, A&M, USCe)

I guess it can be done away with since the West is strong, but it helps SOS when the West is weak. I guess I'm just a fan of having a tough schedule to play. It's more entertaining.

I'd LOVE not getting handicapped every year because Bama gets cupcake conference scheduling.

because we are the only team with a legit reason to complain. Every year we have to play bama and florida and we play in the west. We getting that big meat sausage put on us. If vandi was our permanent opponent instead of florida we wouldn't be complaining.

I like 1 permanent foe that changes every 4 or 6 years.

-The rest should alternate every 2 years (home and home).
-Divisions shouldn't matter.
-Pull em out of a damn hat on national television and create some awesome suspense and eliminate any chance for tomfoolery.

Wouldn't it be awesome to watch that random selection show every 2 years?

or Tennessee to just get better like they were in late 90's early 2000's so Tiger fans can quit bitching....

If Tennessee was battling Florida/Georgia every year for SEC East this wouldn't be the issue it is now. But because Tennessee has sucked since Fulmers last season people see it as Alabama having a cake walk into the SEC Championship.

He's really trying to promote Mizzou as their most important game on the schedule.

He's got that "managing expectations" thing down pat.

"League orientedness" need not be given many fux.

Ideally when two teams play the best team wins with their best players. But playing a gut wrenching schedule whittles down the depth of even the best teams. The league seems interested in having LSU out-depthed on the back end of the season.
