Not really. UVA deserves a natl seed. The ACC does not deserve a natl seed. So you don't think there is a big dick sucking love Fest over ACC baseball? Wasn't it 1957 or something like that when the conference won a natl title in baseball? ACC always gets all these host sites, but yet choke on dick during tourney time. I remember how great VaTech was supposed to be great. That didn't work out to be the case did it? Win some championships then ask for love.

Why is everyone putting USCe/Ole Miss ahead of Vandy for a national seed? Vandy has the second highest RPI in the conference, behind only Florida

Because Vandy finished 6th in the SEC and lost at home to SC.

Who has the better resume between LSU and ole Miss if LSU makes the title game and ends up with a higher RPI than ole Miss?

There's much more parity in baseball today in terms of spread of talent and with the level playing field of the bars. This game is not the same as the days of gorilla ball. So throw out everything prior to the last 10 years or so.
You know how baseball is. It's a finicky game and many ACC teams have been very close and very tough competitors in recent years. Just because they haven't won one doesn't mean they don't play quality baseball that competes head to head with the SEC year in year out. You're telling that Oregon st winning it twice means the PAC12 is a powerhouse? Of course not. Some teams get hot. Past performance should not be an indicator for a national seed determination. It's about how relevant you've been this year.

I haven't read through all of this, so I don't know if it has been discussed yet, but will winning the tournament still not be enough for LSU to get a national seed?

We'd probably have to take ULL's top 8 and they would have to choke for that to happen.

I wouldn't go that far....if we took down Vandy, Ole Miss, Florida, and say maybe Florida or SC in championship, I would believe we have a shot.
We would have as good of a resume as anyone in between seeds 5-10. We would most certainly be in the arguement, however this is the SEC tourney and anything goes. PM has had great success here.

If we somehow end up 8-8 vs. the top 25 in RPI, that would look better. But you can't fix our SOS and the highest our RPI would go is 13 or 14 since these are neutral site games. It just won't be enough.

Well I think one way or another, if we don't get a national seed, we will be heading to ULL for a regional of some sort.
