I'm so glad this top100 player in the NATION (Rivals, 247 etc.) is getting properly utilized. He's a total mismatch when on the field.

Absolutely! Smith has been on the roster for years, and underutilized. It borders on criminal IRT how LM used TEs. Now, I am always looking for DS on typical run-play down and distances...he will surprise the DEF. I think we are going to use him even more in the upcoming games...if not to throw to, but as an option you better account for thus leaving greater opp's for other WR's, and RB's out of the backfied.

Kind of proves what we all knew....Miles controlled the offense and play calls. What a shame, think of how much better the past LSU teams would have been under Miles had he let the play calling go to the OC. I am not saying that Cam was a great OC but I think he would have open up the offense a little more but hands were tied.

I'd agree IF Coach O didn't come in and fire Cam too.

I felt if Cam had been given "free reign" over the offense, LSU's offense would have resembled IU's when Cam was HC there...what was that's guys name... He was the QB at IU and was tremendous...went on to play WR for the Steelers...anyway, the point is, he played lights out offense at IU...just never had a defense there at IU...I also feel that Coach O let Cam go because Cam was "to close to the situation" and would be a CLM apologist and possibly things could have been construed throughout the season that a "coup" should have been taken against Coach O and Aleva because of the firing of his best friend in Miles. Just my .02.

This follows what I had been told by an older ex-player that Miles was losing the team and the players were on the verge of revolt after losing to Auburn

It makes you think about the rest of the talent that was never utilized..

I feel worse than ever for guys like Trey Quinn who transferred because of our incompetent coaches.

this all day long...DeSean Smith was a huge get on signing day, was #1 overall player in the state.. Just think about Russel Sheperd, number 1 overall player in the country and still playing in the NFL just because of his athleticism.

My body is ready for the Empty Set formation against Alabama. Start off with single back 2TE and 2WR set.. then no huddle the shite out of that personnel with 5 empty set. Let's fricking go. Don't give them fatties any room to breathe.

Choctaw, Beefense, gray tiger and LSU granddad tighten the rope around their neck every time something like this comes out. Those guys thought Les was an offensive mastermind

I don't think that they actually believed that. They mainly stood behind Miles because of his winning percentage and record while at LSU.

That "real Tiger fan" has almost completely disappeared from the board in Miles absence.

He's exposed what he was not that we didn't already know

No, it's pretty obvious that our offense was a shite show in many respects under Miles.
You sign talented tights ends but don't use them. You sign highly rated wide receivers but they are also underutilized. You sign great running backs who are hampered by refusing to spread the field so that have to face a stacked LOS. It doesn't take much to understand or conclude the obvious. Les Miles was killing LSU football.

Trey chose to come here then chose to leave. 100% on him

I have to admit that this is true. Any player who chooses a school has to consider the coaching staff and the scheme, and whether it's a good fit for the player. I've wondered, at least over the past 5 years, why a WR would sign with LSU, given our offensive scheme. Yes, I realize we put a lot of WRs in the NFL, but I think that's more a function of the studs we recruit, rather than what they do once they get to LSU.

So Quinn made the choice to come here, for better or worse.

Now, I do think Quinn will do very well as SMU. He had two crucial drops against Bama, and that was it for him. But he's very fast and quick, and I think can do very well at SMU.
