Folks don't realize that all of the people talking, have a vested interest to predict its worse that it actually is. Weather channel, local news, politicians etc.

Houston was never getting 30" of rain. Imho no matter what this storm did.

KHOU weather reporter described 9" rain in 1 hour, 3" in ten minutes.

Your mileage may vary

yea, I thought the same thing YESTERDAY. it is very possible that Houston will get 30" over the next few days. I live up north in the Woodlands and we have received about 9" today on top of what we received the last several days. that storm is just sitting and spitting up large bands of moisture from the gulf. Houston go luck today but is getting hammered tonight. unless that storm goes west fast we damn sure will get a cumulative of 24" or more. I do not live in a flood zone but this is different man. Harvey is like a fricking rain machine on it's eastern side.

I hate to say it but not only are these "vested interests" probably right this time, they may actually be understating it, esp if the storm just sits there feeding the gulf to the metro area.

FYI: The Texans are supposed to host the Cowboys on Thursday night. BUT the Texans flew straight to Dallas from NOLA.

Houston's going to have to decide in the next 24-48 hours if they're open for business next weekend or not. And if NOT, I'm gonna be one PISSED off coon arse since I live in Pro-veaux, fly into Houston on Thursday & have been waiting for this game for 2 1/2 years!!

I'm going to put my crystal ball prediction in now. 10am press conference Monday morning to announce Tiger Stadium will be the host. LSU will gift BYU generously to make this happen.

They are backed by a lot of tithe paying members of their church. The Mormon religion is very charitable, and more than likely wouldn't take a penny so long as it went to relief in Texas. During our floods last year they sent tons of supplies, and people to help out with gutting homes, and such. I gotta give for that.

How dare a Hurricane that's dropping legendary and historic amounts of rain on Houston get in the way of your football fun.

Coworker has a friend in Houston. Her house is flooded! News reports of people going into attics to escape the flood waters.

And Houston is getting hammered still hours after all that happened.

Credible reports of 6 inches in 4 hours.

... and the rain is just beginning.

This game, if it is played at all, will NOT be played in Houston.

Doubt it will be played at all. Neutral site game, not a conference game. Too much flooding in Houston, so it's more logical to cancel it. Money would be the only reason at all to reschedule.
