Defense looked very good to me considering it was first game of season under new coordinator and that he isn't close to having the full package to use. They caused turnovers, scored, and got solid pressure on qb.

Valentine will be a difference maker with some coaching.

Tre White

Travin Dural impressed with yards after catch

Deep pass to LF

But I think, really more than anything else the biggest positive is that now the national media can frick off about trying to tell the Tiger faithful that we were crazy for considering getting rid of Miles last year.

I am tired of people saying we are crazy for wanting more. I think this game, given the buildup and situation from the end of last season, was a perfect compilation of everything we as alumni and fans have been trying to communicate to anyone who would listen to us.

I refuse to believe we lack enough talent to form some semblance of a decent football team. So if the talent is there to be decent and we aren't, there's only one explanation.

At least this time we completely shite the bed out of the gate rather than at the end of the otherwise best season in my lifetime. Now we won't slowly, and idiotically get our hopes up over the course of the season only to get the rug pulled out from under us again.

I woke up today in a good mood because now, without a doubt, we are one day closer to a new regime.

JD Moore looked like he recovered well from knee injury. Lay licks out there

Did I sleep through this part? There was no pressure on him at all, ever.

If clm and cryst swapped sidelines yesterday the Tigers would have won by 30

I'm positive of that

Except for Key, the DL was awful. They rarely generated any push. The inside backers played well along with the secondary. No huge blown coverages for TDs. That said, yesterday's defensive performance won't cut it in the SEC. Conf oppenents would have put up much more than 16 points.

LF played well in a tough situation. Dural continues to be under utilized. Otherwise, that's the only positives. LSU picked up right were they left off in Nov. '15. There was no difference.

the national media isn't the problem in relation to getting rid of miles, tiger fans that support miles are the problem... but those people are drying up... in a few years, finding a miles supporter will be like trying to find someone who voted for buddy roemer after he lost reelection in 1991... in other words,... a lot of you guys are hypocrites, even if you don't want to admit to it.

Meh. I was expecting much more aggressiveness and pressure.
I'm not that worried about the D though.

Def was average. If we didn't get a 4th and 1 stop and that gift of an int in the endzone wisconsin would have 6 or 10 more points.

the defense essentially gave up nine points (the white pick 6 cancelling out the touchdown they gave up), and you thought the defense looked average?... are you a miles supporter?

1. It's the first game. Team will improve.

2. One day closer to getting rid of Miles.

"II refuse to believe we lack enough talent to form some semblance of a decent football team. So if the talent is there to be decent and we aren't, there's only one explanation."

We need some semblance of a head coach and an offensive coordinator.

Jindal is no longer in office to veto the buyout. One positive

I said they didn't have the look that I was expecting. Not unhappy that they only gave up 9.

And again, the defense is not an issue for this team. Sure Bama will run through them pretty easily, but we should have the defense to win the rest of the games.
