We scored 63. We could play db's on the DL and still win
This is true.

72 is absolutely a difference maker.

No, that’s not what he’s talking about. He means linemen who force negative plays. Shelvin is probably not in the top 100 in that stat. Pollack is correct; we are lacking a truly disruptive defensive lineman. And thank God we are, because this team would not even be challenged if they had that final piece.

Anyone who thinks 72 is not a difference maker hasn’t been watching or doesn’t know what a difference maker is. But Pollack is still upset about his failures against LSU when he was at GA.

We don’t have a hands-in-the-dirt edge rusher or TFL machine. Still our run defense is stout. We haven’t really effected the passer too much with monstrous sack stats but again, we seem to get ‘em when it matters. He doesn’t take into account that LSU plays a brand of positionless defense with our hybrid players.
Shelvin eats up OL and that’s a big deal. Plus, I think Divinity’s return is going to be huge.

Even when Pollack is complimentary to us, He seems to do grudgingly, frick him.

He has been anti-LSU since LSU whipped him and his UGA Bulldogs in the SEC championship game way back when. He has no credibility on anything LSU.

The one year we could actually have Trindon Holliday at DE and it wouldn’t matter.

Doesn't have any difference makers, huh? Hmm, that's interesting. Because I've been told by these "geniuses" for pretty much the entire season that Ohio State was the most "complete" team in the country, because they had this supposedly awesome defense.

But they somehow allowed Trevor Lawrence, of all people, to run for over 100 yards on them. Meanwhile, LSU held the MUCH more dangerous runner, in Hurts, to just 43 yards.

Make no mistake, as overrated as we know Oklahoma was, it wasn't because of their offense. And their offense pads their stats in a weak conference, but they can legitimately score on most anyone, and they barely got over 300 yards against LSU. Given that Oklahoma's offense was predicated this year on the run, and setting up their passing game through that, I'd say we have some difference makers up front who, you know... made a difference!

Clemson gave up over 500 yards to OSU, and depended on mistakes to win the game for them, but OUR defense is still the one being questioned?

Nobody tries on TV, anymore. They have their preconceived notions, and whichever side they were on to begin with, very few of them will ever be swayed, no matter what happens.

He is still hung up on defense. LSU will prove that to be a false narrative once again

Pollack also picked Georgia. That alone should tell you how much stock to put in his opinions.

It’s hard to even watch these idiots anymore. They talk out of their arse. I’m just curious if they are going to recognize LSU as one of the best teams ever when we win the NC. We will have beaten 7 ranked teams.

This board cracks me up. Most of you bitched non-stop about the defense this season. Now the media points out a possible flaw to drum up interest for the viewers and you guys attack him. Hypocrites!!!!
