Not getting a first down with the ball, the lead and 2 minutes left in the game with A&M out of timeouts..

2. The Giles fumbled punt
4. No pressure
7. Not going for the win in OT

The truth is, LSU had plenty of chances to win the game.

Yes, there are 3-5 really close calls that didn't go our way, but that's not why we lost. We needed to make 1 more play and couldn't.

For me it all boils down to #3. I understand that we had shut them down completely in the 2nd half but 4 yards is the difference between a win and a loss. Despite the muffed punt and the missed field goal, we still had a chance to win the game and elected to play defense. That lost us the game.

Not blocking, but making up for it by not tackling.

It's hard to say one is "bigger" than another. LSU appeared to make the play on all of the reversals/non-calls, so it's hard to blame LSU there. The Giles muff hurt, but obviously LSU overcame it.

The only real criticism I have of LSU is O's lack of a killer instinct. Despite EVERYTHING that happened prior, your team has the ball 1st and goal from the 8 knowing that a TD ends the game. You had a QB that played his guts out for you and just when you are on the doorstep of victory, you take the ball out of his hands and play to ensure you don't lose (by kicking a FG) vs. going for the throat.

THAT was inexcusable and it falls COMPLETELY on the shoulders of Orgeron. I don't give a shite play the OC wants to run, the HC dictates the approach. If O sat idly by while LSU attempted 3 feeble runs from the 8, then shame on him. He told his team right there that he didn't trust them.

Hpw about this one....not getting a dammm first down to put it away with under 2 minutes in regulation....3 BS runs in the teeth of the defense and they having 2 TO's left to stop the clock. How about rolling out Burrow with a RPO on at least one of them!!!

in this order:

3. CEO electing to play defense instead of going for the first down on 3rd and 4 that would have won the game
4. Aranda bringing no pressure on Mond starting mid way through the 4th qtr and into OT
2. Giles muffed punt
5. Injured starters out on defense

Here's your ANSWER... I don't see it up there

O has SOFT PRACTICES.... PERIOD

You practice soft, and GUESS COME GAMEDAY, YOU PLAY SOFT
(i'm referring to, in the trenches)

Our lineman DON'T BLOCK, i'm not even sure they know how to LEGALLY HOLD.... BUT ONE THING I AM FOR CERTAIN, THEY DON'T STICK THERE FOOT IN ANYONE'S A_S!!!!

Your QB should NEVER BE your leading rusher, when you are the 7th ranked team in the country, PERIOD!!!

God we don't deserve Aranda. The guy keeps us in every game. Held AtM to some of their lowest yardage stats all year and consistently keeps teams below 30 pts. Yet, according to the expert analysis of CalTiger53 he's not making the right adjustments. I swear you can't make this shite up some times.

It's entertaining as hell though.

---Yeah, I guess your definition of soft includes fighting thru 6 OT's. Like to see you last 5 hours in a football game.

I didn't say he doesn't make the right adjustments, I said why so late. BTW, I loved Aranda as DC and I think he is good one but his results this year is nothing special.

I like No. 4. All of the OT's I kept saying pressure, pressure, pressure, but it never came.

#24 in pts/game even after playing the basketball game against aTm. Also against a Bama team averaging 49 pts/game he held them to 29.

#11 in ints

#47 in sacks because we have no pass rush this year.

#4 in passes defended.

#11 in defensive efficiency

#33 in yards/game

All of this while dealing with injuries to key players and the worst offense since Fisher left.

I would say keeping our defense in the top 25 in some of the most important categories is quite good considering the offense was putrid.
