It hoped to mount a late comeback and complete the sweep, but after an error sparked the Wildcats, three relievers — freshman right-hander Michael Fowler, senior left-hander Brandon Kaminer and senior right-hander Aaron George — allowed a combined eight runs, three of them earned.

He ever explain why Hellmers didn’t pitch?

Not saying Hellmers would have shut them down, but he would have definitely provided better bullpen depth.

Edwards wins game two. I thought before the game that at least Fontenot, based on the usual walk and hit batsmen that he was done for the weekend forcing Paul & Dune to make the right choice, but I was wrong. Seriously can some one name me a one two punch of relief and closer that Dunn has developed? Any year where they were better their jr & sr years?
