Brooks will never play football again. Just pray he gets healthy and can have a good life.

Wonder how bad the kicker Dibert was injured against A&M…have a new kickoff specialist coming in this year, be interesting to see if Dibert takes a med redshirt…or if kicking again at this level is off the table for him.

what's our roster total now after Wingo, Thomas to NFL and J Brown in the portal?

Some of these players that really didn't play much or well are probably being told to look around. That has to happen with the scolly numbers being so tight. The coaches have lots of practice tape and impressions of every player so in the evaluations it is going to happen. Just like at every school.

If all of the portal guys leave we are currently at 29 guys leaving.
We signed 28 in early signing period.
McKinley is committed. If he signs that makes it 29 incoming freshman.
We have 5 transfers coming in.
That would be 34 players coming in.
Were we at 85 scholarships? If we were and assuming all of the incoming transfers will be on scholarship, do we still need to lose 5 current players to get to 85?
Updated to edit numbers to reflect Diggs

And Josh Williams last said he was likely coming back. But I have to assume they'll figure something out so Greg Brooks will not count towards scholarship.
I think we signed 27 on ESD, so McKinley makes 28, so we'd need to make 5 spots assuming we ended the year at 85.

According to 247 and on3 28 have signed and McKinley’s verbal gives us 29.

Ah you're right. 27 on the first day of early signing. And then Coen Echols later in the early signing period. We can add Diggs to the portal numbers though so back to 5 excess.

I THINK JOHN EMERY HAS ONE MORE YEAR IF HE DECIDES TO USE IT.

EMERY WILL BE GREAT IF HE COMES BACK. I AM TALKING ABOUT HEISMAN TROPHY TYPE TALENT. HE JUST HAS TO GET MORE SNAPS.

quote:I kinda feel like that's John Emery. Lol But I love a kid like a Josh Williams because to me he's the classic overachiever. He's not the most talented RB, but he helped LSUs ground game by always running for tough yards. He was always working, grinding out tough yards inside even though he wasn't the biggest RB. The kid also worked hard in the classroom getting his masters I think. His family should be proud of that Tiger. I hope he makes an NFL team, it couldn't happen to a better guy. God bless!
It feels like Josh Williams has been on LSU's football team for 15 years.
