What would it take for students to camp out for an 11:00 AM game against Tennessee.

College Gameday that Saturday morning could be a possibility. Just got to keep winning and the mojo may return.

The weak teams of the last many years has led to the lame atmosphere. The only interest in games were the blue hairs. Gonna be hard to wrestle seats away from the faithful but if they don’t we can’t expect to create a serious home court advantage.

I’m just tired of looking around my section and wondering why most people are even there.

If you’re not going to uncontrollably react to a monster dunk or three pointer, why go to the game? Watch at home or catch up on your Netflix shows.

Except that LSU doesn’t have an enthusiastic student section.

This isn’t 15-20 years ago in the Jabari Smith / Stromile Swift days. Now, that was easy.

It’s true that our student section isn’t ideal. Not only is it far away but it’s behind the goal, which is a terrible viewing angle.

Auburn’s new basketball arena addressed this and put the student section right above where everyone can be seen on camera. We need to do the same.

Late 80's the student section was on the side and it was first come first serve. Gates open and you ran to get the best seat and stood the whole game

Funny thing about gameday, LSU would have the students on the side during the broadcast. Then shove them back on the baseline for the game....lol

When we played Kentucky in 80 the line to get into the PMAC turned the corner on Nicholson hours before the game

Some people have short memories. It took time even during those days for people to start coming out. It wasn't until we beat Oklahoma State, starting the season 12-0, before we had big crowds. Leading up to that point, it was just like it's been now with ~8k people at our games. The problem with LSU basketball has been we'll follow a really good season with a terrible season. We haven't been able to sustain success year-in and year-out since the 80s so fans have lost interest quickly.
