The amount of guys that will touch mid-90’s on this team is unlike anything we’ve ever seen

People will fight all offseason about who they prefer to start, but they will have 5-6 legitimate hoss’s coming out the pen too, should all these guys maintain healthy.

Taylor won't be a midweek guy

Absolute,y! Midweek is for not-ready-for-prime-time guys and prime time guys who need a bullpen session.

Skeens sounds mature and hungry to take the ball on Friday Night.

I'd like to hear y'all opinion on the question marks with each potential arm.

I don't know that we see Coleman at all in 2023.

I'll be interested to see what Blake Money does. He put in a ton of work to be in a good spot at the beginning of the year. Then he took a dive and spent the rest of the year with a gas can. If he puts in the same type of effort where could he be going into the spring?

Wasn’t Taylor a Saturday guy before he was hurt? If he is fully recovered, he could be an ace.

The thing about Skenes is that Milazzo could catch and he could DH

Wait is this possible? If Skenes pitches and hits, Milazzo could catch and not hit?

Technically yes. But the odds that happens are pretty slim.
Do you want your starter standing on 2nd when the 3rd out is made?

If this were 12u travel ball there wouldn’t be one.
Elite level college baseball and it isn’t exactly ideal

This cant be understated at all.

The pitching room is way way different now than it was a year ago before Jay even got some transfers to come in.

We've got a lot of legitimate arms to get starter roles for us now and not only guys who can throw mid to even high 90s in some cases, but have at least 1 secondary pitch they are comfortable with.

Not totally comfortable with our left handed pitching losing Hasty, Coleman probably out most of if not all of next year...but that's more of what can Bronzini, Herring, Primeaux and Ackenhausen bring in year 1 there to go alongside Cooper. At least we know Cooper can be used a ton.

False.
The DH does not typically bat for position players but can.
The catch is that whatever position the DH hits for initially can not change. So if your DH hits for the catcher and you change pitchers, your DH can not hit for the new pitcher.

This, unfortunately. CJJ essentially told Hunt last week that they aren’t expecting much of anything from Coleman this year. Said that his experience with Tommy John is a full 18 month recovery time, which is post 2023.

No, the DH is a player who hits for the pitcher position.

If Skenes pitches he can DH. When he leaves the game he can still be the DH. If he moves to another position in the field (say Catcher) he becomes that positions hitter and the team loses the DH and the subsequent pitchers have to bat.

The DH is not a pick who you don’t want to hit option.

Don't see the issue?

He would have a helmet and not a glove. How can you pitch without a glove?

Sorry that's the best I can come up with, it seems like a non issue to me to.
