Curious how much he will be extended. Weather is supposed to be a little nuts. Winds 20 mph out of the SSW with gusts up to 40.

ETA: SSW is straight out to center.

Id assume very limited. 50 max is my guess.

Still, this is a great sign.

1 - he's feeling fine after his last outing
2- the desire is there for him to be a starter.

Kade Anderson and Javen Coleman seem like natural guys to piggy back with Jump, but Anderson pitching on Monday and Coleman on Sunday is probably too soon to bring them back for essentially another start.

I wouldn't mind seeing them piggyback on Sunday and see if they can each extend a little beyond what they did week 1.

Anyone remember how many pitches Jump threw last Friday? Jay said he’ll throw more in his start.

I was thinking he only threw around 11 pitches so yea of course he’s going to throw more Jay

The next box to check for Jump would be one up-and-down. In the interest of working him into the rotation though I don't think they're going to limit him to only two innings if he's cruising. Maybe one time through the order.

Is that Javen Holeman or Luke Colman?

I'm really excited to see more of Jump. That 9th inning he pitched was fun to watch.

We have an embarrassment of riches with the depth of this staff. Herring, Ack, Anderson, Coleman, Loer all could get a Sunday start (or midweek down the road). Just use who you are most confident in when you need to win a game on a particular day, and start the one that you didn't need.

And I didn't even mention the shorter stint guys out of the pen, plus Johnson.

I think they might give it to Herring/Dutton after Jump and see where that goes. Dutton had a good spring. Wonder if they might give him extra looks.
