So UGA is conceding against Skenes by starting with a freshman that has pitched 17 innings.

Could Skenes pitch 2 innings in game 1, then Floyd come in for the rest of game 1, and then Skenes pitch game 2 for 4 or 5 innings?

I’m just another idiot posting on the rant but by now shouldn't they have a strategy if our opponent is showing a weakness and conceding?

I’m not saying that’s the best move but I’d rather our best pitcher go up against their best pitcher.

It's curious how Floyd is 6-0 yet has a sky-high 4.53 ERA. I have a sneaking suspicion that many of the earned runs charged to Floyd came after he left the game and gave way to one of the numerous worthless relievers on the LSU roster.

One of these days I would like to see what happens if Jay just leaves TF in the game after he encounters trouble in an inning.

In a super regional, you can't afford to punt on a game when 2 losses ends your season.

Nobody will burn their ace against skenes in a super. NOBODY!!!!!!

iIts as close to a guaranteed loss as their is in college baseball.

4.53 isn’t that high for a team that averages 9.7 R/G offensively.

I'm not sure why people say it's "ballsy" or "can't afford to punt a game" when it's the path that gives you the best odds to win the series and advance.

Because they don’t understand odds.

Which ranks outside of the top 200 pitchers nationally with atleast 45 IP. So it depends on where the Rant experts draw the “sky high” line.

Absolutely not. Conceding game 1 of 3 game series in the post season would be insane.

Skenes is at 10 to 1 SO’s to BB’s - That’s just NASTY!

Haven't paid too much attention to Georgia and their pitching staff to see/notice if anything is out of the ordinary with who they are pitching each day. The guy with the most innings is pitching on Saturday but that doesn't mean he was their best starter...

Their Saturday starter has a 3.5ish ERA in SEC games.. and walks nobody. So I expect the Saturday game to be the most challenging offensively.
