Anyone else kind of not want Godwin, so we don't have to watch our pitchers wearing playcard wristbands? I can't stand it.

I don’t mind as long as there’s a different color one for each uniform. That’ll look so good.

It's like eating the grass. You gotta win one first. Then it's okay.

They're usually for spotting hitter tendencies.

Not pitch calls.

As long as we win, i dont care if the pitchers bring ipads out to the mound to research the pitches they need to throw

I was always made to take off any wristbands I had on when I played in high school when I came in to pitch because they were "distracting to the batters." I remember chad jones having to take a sharpie and color in the lettering on his glove for the same reason one game. One would think having a wristband with a big white notecard on it would fall under the same principle.

Softball’s have like a purple cover that is essentially part of the uniform. You lift it to read the notes in white.

Pros: It’s to keep teams from stealing signals and easier to put in all of your picks and have everyone on the same page

Cons: slows game down and pitchers can’t shake to what they want to throw.

Who cares every team does it to some point. A lot of teams have cards in their back pockets for shifts and things like that for every batter.

Their batters had them too and they checked the card before each pitch. As far as their focus, I guess they get used to doing that over time, but seems a bit odd for a batter.
