You obviously know that teams call timeouts in that situation all the time in order to advance the ball and draw up a play right?
I'm not a fan of Wade in-game, but I actually like not calling a timeout in that situation. We had plenty of time to get the ball down the floor, and a timeout lets the defense set up.

Pinson got to the goal, just missed the shot.

Again, I'm no Wade fan (in-game) but I can't criticize him for not calling a timeout. We got a good look to win the game.

Days was probably the only other option. Pinson had some awesome drives and finishes. His problem is that he drove to the left and I think he put it up with his right hand. If you're going to the hoop there, go up with your left hand closer to the goal and try to make it or draw a foul. The shot was bad. He is great at driving, but is usually bad at shooting when he is anywhere but right next to the goal.

I'm not trying to criticize that decision, I understand each coach has their own philosophy when it comes to that, I don't really mind either way. I was just responding to that guy because he said no one ever calls a timeout in that situation when it happens all the time.

Did you know that Pinson has the worst field goal percentage of everyone that has played any significant minutes this season?

The team is clearly different when X is on the court. Had he made the last layup this board would be a bit different this morning. I liked not using a time out, and the drive and shot. X just did not execute a very high percentage shot.
Obviously his shooting % was bad last night, but he does so many more things that push this team to be better.

Why is he taking the last shot

I remember someone earlier in the season actually asking if he was similar or as good as Chris Jackson. Different solar systems altogether.

The Wade god has got to start recruiting pure shooters that have more mental discipline and situational awareness at the end of a game.

Even with biased and/or poor officiating, LSU still wins that game last night if properly coached players with granite hard mental discipline do what they're supposed to do at crunch time.

We don't have it because Omnipotent god Wade hasn't recruited it. Simple fact and end of story. Adam Miller (Who hasn't even played a game yet) gets injured and there's nobody else to make up for the loss. That's all on god Wade for poor roster management.

You can't really teach intelligence and mental discipline either; either you have it or you don't have it. That goes back to recruiting and the type of athlete you're bringing in. This is strictly low basketball IQ AAU-playground stuff we're seeing currently and it's frustrating to watch.

Betta than Trent and Johnny though, huh Pump Lump Wade god sycophants? (A Pump Lump is a Sunshine Pumping LSU version of an Alabama Gump)

It's 50% Pinson's fault for trying to be something he's not ... A 3Pt shooter

and

It's 50% Wade's fault for allowing it to happen

Grow a pair and bench him when he does that. Have to send a message.

Our guards were 0-12 last night from three.

Pinson 0/7
Murray 0/5
Gaines 0/1

Arkansas’ strategy seemed to be go let our guards fire away. They did, we kept missing and we lost.

You mean like the 5 star guy who blew out his knee before the season started?

That is just terrible. And to make it even worse, many were very open looks.

Like Skyler or Javonte. One is good, two is better.

look, Adam Miller might be incredible. But last year at Illinois, he averaged:

8.3 points
25.5 minutes played
39.1% overall FG

34.0% 3-point FG (would be 92nd in the nation, and worse than Eason, Days, and Murray this year)

68.4% FT (would not even be in the top 350 this year)

So is Miller a great shooter?

You obviously know that the ball doesn't get advanced in college on a timeout, right?

I don’t know how many 3’s he shot. But 34 percent for a freshman averaging north of 8 points a game is pretty good. I think Smart was like a 29 percent 3 pt shooter his freshman year, and was up to like 45 percent his Junior year.

Great so we were relying on ONE guy to be THE shooter on this team when he didn’t even put up good numbers last year at Illinois.

That’s the problem within itself. We have a bunch of freak athletes that have zero basketball IQ and no one can shoot on a consistent basis.

This is by far Wade’s least talented team since he’s been here.

I don't think Pinson is back to 100% yet.

His play before and post injury is substantial. And one could just say, “well that’s because it’s SEC competition.” But he has played against that at Mizzou his whole career, the fact that he is shooting 10 percent from 3 since coming back is insane

He doesn't look like he has any strength.
