Cecil Collins

I watched his documentary not too long ago and he could have been something really special. He had all the tools to become one of the greatest, but the streets are tough to leave alone at that age and with everybody telling you how great you are. Good to see he's got his life in order.

On offense, you have to go Burrow because he's literally the best player we ever had. Fournette would be my second choice.

On defense, it's hard to say because LSU is strong at every position this year. We're getting pressure, have a top 5 run defense, and producing interceptions like crazy. I'm not sure which individual would make a huge improvement. I guess give me Laron Landry but with his NFL muscles.

Defense: Tyran Mathieu (doesn’t matter how good the defense is, he’s always the right answer to this question)

Faneca was the best run blocker I’ve ever seen.
High school, college and pros.
Give me him.

There should be only one answer. Love Nuss but to truly dominate in college football today you need a true duel thread QB. Jayden was that in spades

On defense I feel like the only thing we truly lack is a game wrecking dominating DT like Glenn.

I think we’d be winning games by 40+ minimum.

Defense first:
While none of our current DB’s are in Peterson or Mathieu’s level, I think collectively current group is pretty stellar. Same with our LB’s. But put a dominant DT on this line and I think this defense could challenge as one of the best ever.—- Give me prime Dorsey.

Now offense:
Adding just one OL man no matter how great wouldn’t make that much difference. Would still have weak links that a good defensive line could exploit. Without better pass protection and more aggressive play calling adding one top tier receiver or TE wouldn’t make much difference either. A stud RB like Fournette would be tempting. And even though I believe Burrow to be our best ever, I would have to go——-Daniels.

So Dorsey and Daniels and we go undefeated to a Natty this year.

This team:

Cecil without mental issues and two cleats

Booger on D for this team at them moment

but any and all teams on D: TM7 with 5 take aways in a game he would have scored on at least one them, he did more than just become the honey badger/ball hawk, he caused opposing teams to implode mentally and just collapse and break their morale while tiger stadium erupted and caused chaos for any opposing team. TM7 broke the Oregon ducks in 2011 on the road and derailed those Nike pac 10 jersey favorites

Alan Faneca could help at guard and probably tackle.

The defense has been so solid that they don't need as much help. But a linebacker like Devin White would make what appears to be a strong defense even stronger.

Give me an elite guard offensively.

Defensively, we are so stacked. Maybe an interior D lineman just because all other positions are just SO stacked with depth?

Offense - Jayden
Defense - Henry Thomas

Comments:
If I could, I'd trade the D pick for a 2nd O pick and pick one of Faneca or Andolsek.
Joe Burrow is the best QB all time for LSU but Jayden is a close second. This year's D is the D he deserved in 2023. We win it all this year with a healthy Jayden.

Offensively, I have to go with Andrew Whitworth

We don't need the best Offensive Tackle in the last 2 decades. Just give me Jerald Hawkins or Chris Faulk. I also would love a player like Trai Turner or Damien Lewis who are just absolute road graders up front.

But the offensive line's struggles in the running game do have some easy fixes. They trying to help out before going to the second level is an easy White Board fix. Just get to the second level to put a hat on a hat and if the guard or tackle doesn't block their man it makes it easier on the running back if the linebacker is already blocked. I'm not convinced that we don't have some mean spirited offensive lineman who will hit you but we just haven't seen it yet. From what I have been told they are making their assignments in the run game simpler and will live with the results so that should allow them to play quicker and hit someone. Durham is good enough to make 1 person miss but if we don't get to that second level then he has more people to make miss.

With that, I change my mind I'd take Trai Turner or Damien Lewis. Improvement in the run game significantly helps in the passing game if we can actually have a play-action attack.
