There's a pretty lengthy interview with him on youtube where he discusses the SEC. He said he has Alabama 1st in the west and A&M second. He said after that you have 5 good teams and there's very little separating those 5. He actually said he wanted to have the other 5 tied for third lol.
It doesn't sound like he's as down on LSU the way some people are making it out.

Pre-season predicters are usually way off and absolutely meaningless, just selling stuff, right now there’s no reason for anyone to think there’s anything special about us, on paper we’re a depleted shell of 2019 and prior, we’re not due any respect for the past, time to shite or get off the pot and establish new respect

Kinda dumb but he's probably factoring in LSU has sucked past 2 seasons badly, had a complete purge of coaching on top of personnel on the roster, and have a brutal schedule. Asking a lot for LSU to be a 7+ win team even with BK as a HC in his first year. All that chemistry needs to come together fast.

His rankings are based on a propriety algorithm. He's huge on returning production which LSU has little of, outside of Boutte and Jenkins, and schedule. I am unsure how he factors in the transfer portal.

This ridiculous Texas hype is as bad as the yearly TAMU hype. I get so tired of morons thinking a 5-7 Texas team from last season will be so much better because a QB that hasn't done anything yet is going to be a savant, and at the same time say LSU, who has done everything imaginable to improve from last year defensively and offensively, and coaching wise, is going to stay the same or be worst. It's the most lazy arse nonsense I keep seeing from anybody who does any kind of talk and/or write up on us.
