"since leaving LSU no troble"
This is FALSE. He got suspended for his first three or four games his senior year of college. This leads me to believe he was still up to his old tricks.

<---- never got in trouble around age 20, still hates RP.

Yeah, he got in trouble multiple times at LSU, and at least got suspended once when he transferred.

actually, this is FALSE. he got suspended for the 1st game of the yr, and then came back, played well, and subsequently was his conf Off. POY.
I wish him well, but like I used to say a few yrs back, he'd constantly prove himself to be football smart but life stupid. hoping he's on the straight and narrow and stays that way.

I wish him well also, but it's hard not to think about what could have been. And when you look at what we got out of the QB position in 08, it's hard not to be a little upset at the guy. All he had to do was hold it together for one more year.

frick Perriloux. He set back LSU 3-4 years, and probably cost us a National Championship. I hope he gets cut and has to find a real job

Which year do you think he would have been the difference?
I hope he has seen the error of his ways and wants to be an NFL Quarterback. I look forward to JR watching both RP and MF as starting quarterbacks in the NFL.
Maybe RP was correct when he said he should be the starter as a freshman. ;)

"frick Perriloux. He set back LSU 3-4 years ..."
Ok, this could be true, at least to some degree given our struggles at the QB position for three solid years.
" ... and probably cost us a National Championship."
Lots of conjecture in this statement, but what is almost certain is that he helped us win a national championship. His performance in the SECCG against TN was solid and allowed us to win a tight game and make the BCSCG.
RP did some dumb stuff, but I would love to see the guy mature and make the most of his talents in the NFL.

Perriloux had everything but the correct attitude. I used to bitch about Cecil but now it's Perriloux who is LSU'S biggest failure

true, and according to Crowe it was a minor technicality but was an automatic suspension...
I still think RP had the potential to be better than JR and Flynn, just goes to show how much character and work ethic factor in...

Just a heads up, this game will be replayed today at noon on the NFL Network.

uh JSU suspended him a couple times there bro
that said, I'd love to see the guy stick and make it

Perriloux will be the best QB that LSU has ever had in the pros. He will be better than Bert Jones and Woodley. Matt Flynn will be a close second. Watch what I am saying and watch him be a starting QB in a few years. He is a beast and his character goes along with probably most NFL players. You can be a thug in the NFL and still be a great player. Ask Ray Lewis, Plaxico etc....
Check back in a few years and let's see what his stats are. When he finally gets his chance, he will be good and then great.
Had to edit. Forgot all about Y.A. Tittle and I must have been high to not remember that Bert Jones was Offensive MVP back in the late 70's. I'll shut up now.

I thought he got suspended one time at Jackson State. Maybe I am remembering wrong. But either way, I agree with this

I would love to see how many people on here got in trouble or did something stupid when they were 20 years old, learned their lesson, and never did it again. Yet RP, has to continually have his past dredged up over and over again in attempts to discredit him. I just don't get it.

That is a great story of redemption. I hope he makes it. He definitely seems to be on the right path now.

Also, why no mention of Michael Clayton?
He caught a pass from Perrilloux in this game.
