The first touchdown was a brilliant play. I was at the game so correct me if I’m wrong but they set up a screen and the had no intention to throw the ball. Perkins was in position and went to the screen and reed saw when he left and turned and ran to the void.

Perkins has been bad since his freshman year.

Perkins should be playing in a 3-4 base defense

hard to figure out how to use a player that isn't trying. You don't play him and everyone questions why you aren't playing your most physically talented player and when you do play him, everyone questions how you are utilizing him. Problem is, he was loafing , not making effort that great players still have to make to be effective. Perkins lack of effort severely minimized the chance of defense playing well....especially with LSU's most effort every play player Whit Weeks, on the bench. Watching the replay, the last two games LSU was often literally playing with 10 players actually trying. It is no wonder that LSU defense was so ineffective in the last two games.

Perkins is way overhyped. He did not display the type skillset that is expected from a linebacker position. He also does not appear to be very smart and no instincts to be the type of playmaker he was expected to be.

I was screaming at the TV all night he was taking every other play off. Bet your arse the NFL is seeing all of this and he’s just costing himself a lot of money. And I like everybody else I have no idea what he will play besides special teams if he can learn how to tackle.

He’s not a very good LB.

He bites on the fake so qb’s can take him out of a play and he is out of position a lot

He probably shouldn’t have read TD tho. The criticism was pretty heavy

I was reading the ole miss on3 board and they were going on about how Perkins was talking with the ole miss staff about transferring last fall.

He bent the school over a barrel for nil money and he’s fricking horrible. Can’t wait for him to pack his shite too and gtfo

This is for sure an unpopular opinion but I believe he’s a running back.

HP is checked out. He’s been playing not to get injured as of late. Especially since the ole miss lost. He’s out of position and missing horribly on tackles.

Laziness and not knowing the position are two different things

Actually being a really intelligent player never gets talked about enough on here.

1000%. I think that's one reason Joe was (is) so good, is his intelligence level. Same goes for Whit.

I don't see a screen on that first TD at all? The one at 84 seconds on the film?

Perkins will be an insurance salesman. Football is not his future.

I just watched. Yeah I don’t know why I thought screen. But I don’t know what perk was watching. At the time i thought that was a design. I think the back was supposed to leak out but picked up blitz. Reed looked back and saw the void and took off.

If this year isn’t the end of the 18 & 7 “traditions”, I don’t know what will ever kill it

He’s not good, he’s not a football player, he’s an athlete
