I will say you’re right about “ unbelievable season”. I don’t believe it!

Wish someone would make a hype video for this season using this as the theme.

Doesn't matter what the rant or writers think about this LSU team, except for the players and their belief within one another and coaches. Being the underdog can only motivate this team to play above their threshold

Takes more than belief in one another to win. It takes you preparing better than the guys across from you. It takes discipline.

It's been posted many times. So if you missed it, you have only yourself to blame.

I don't recall anyone posting how LSU was going to replace its head coach in 2018. As I said, and I guess you missed, by definition there can't be a perfect storm brewing with LSU's obvious coaching deficit.

There is a good reason why this team is being picked low by so many. Of course the potential for a great season is there but it's highly unlikely due to several factors.

Don’t forget loose and lose. Totally amazing to me how many people confuse the two.

Yes, it is a problem. We're left hoping that the talent on our team and a great DC are able to beat teams that have equal or better talent with much better head coaching.

Is that the definition of a "Perfect Storm"?

If we have a great season, its on the players and assistant coaches.
If we stumble, its all on Orgeron.

Hmmmmm?

I don't really care who chose to ignore my response to the shill's comments. I argued it is impossible for LSU to experience a "perfect storm" with someone as obviously deficient as O as head coach.

So, the real question we need to consider is, how important is head coaching to the team's success? Can a "perfect storm be brewing" if the HC position was vacant? So, if the "perfect storm" hits, does that mean LSU makes the playoffs? If they don't why does O get to continue to be coach?

No, it's not the definition of a "perfect storm". I asked how could LSU possibly expect a perfect storm to be brewing with O as HC. How do you define a "perfect storm" and can one be "brewing" for a FB team who's HC is the worst head coach in the history of Ole Miss football and one that Syracuse would not hire the year before we named him HC?

Despite assurances to the contrary, the administration foisted the cheapest coach on us that they thought they could get away with then engaged in a campaign to soften people up to accept 8-win ceilings as the new norm. We have a coach that is living off the remnants of a once elite program, one that was a legitimate contender for national champions nearly every year. Now, we are calling 8 wins a successful season and hoping that our players and one elite coordinator will be enough to defeat teams with equivalent or better talent and top-5, some best of all time, coaches.

So, what is this "perfect storm" you are referring to and just how many wins do you think it is reasonable to expect next year?

O is 17-6 since taking over as hc (74%). over that same period dan mullen went 13-9 (59%), gus malzahn went 16-7 (70%),and jimbo fisher went 14-8 (64%)........

O isn’t nearly as bad as some make him out to be.

He's not as good either. He inherited a top 6 team in talent.

Much of the season rides on the first game. If LSU can play their brand of football and Beat the U, I am all in for a 8-4, or 9-3 season. But 9-3 is my minimal expectation. 8-4 is kinda meh regardless how you spin it.. If LSU comes out the shoot with a L, this season has 7-5 written all over it. LSU will get their oil checked.

Numbers show he’s done as well or better than quite a few known HC’s. O went 6-2 with that top talent and Les lost 2 of 4. O has done enough to get a fair shot. This year is the first year he has his guys on staff. He also has built his roster up that was full of holes. Let’s see how he does this year before we say he’s so deficient

Out of complete boredom I watch every highlight reel on JB's 2016 redshirt freshman campaign. Spring game and mop up. In EVERY instance he moved the chains. Ran the offense. Converted 3rd downs and the announcers raved that he was starting caliber. He looks the part. Perfect storm clouds on the horizon.

Last thought. Miami runs a high risk reward defense with blitz and coverage schemes. Joe's going to make them pay. Accurate cerebral QB.
