Wish someone would make a hype video for this season using this as the theme.

I'd watch that!
Bama only loses yards when they fall on their arse... we can stop talking about NDs amazing front 7 now.
..... do we have a running clock or a mercy rule?
I hear Phil Knight is rounding up the Ducks on his private jet.

anyone got a video of that?

I step out for 5 minutes and the entire scoreboard changes
You know what the great thing is? The fact that half the country didn't see the game last night and will only read the box score..... on paper it looks like a blowout.

Second guessing: When Ridley fumbled the ball with 1:08 to play, the Tar Heels were out of timeouts. Why were the Tigers even running plays at that point. Why not kneel the ball down?

Why were we running the ball?
They need to send Chavis and the D a gift basket. We just kick-started the TJ Yates for Heisman campaign.

PS

At least Brantley is # 97

good post with great info

Honestly, I was most disappointed in our secondary. We've been talking all season about how we're going to shut everyone's passing game down. We were TORCHED for over 400 yards passing while we managed a mere 151 with their 2 starting corners out. Gave up 2 huge TD passes and just looked inept at times. Our db's were nowhere near the receivers on those plays. That looked really, really bad. What gives on the secondary last night?

I am more concerned that we didn't hit more long passes. I don't know how many safeties you have on a team, but your DB depth chart can't survive the loss of 5 players (no matter how god or bad they are).

cornerback Charles Brown
cornerback Kendric Burney
safety Da'Norris Searcy
safety Jonathan Smith
safety Brian Gupton

Stoops would never leave Norman. He can do no wrong there. Now leave that and go to a place with a rabid fan base that will pick apart your every move.

Imagine if LSU had lost to Boise St, the coach would've been fired during the post-game press conference.

which team is missing the starting DBs?

anyone notice that the UNC team seems to be able to move the ball at will and what LSU does is hit on 2-3 big plays?

Pull for Bama.... every championship the SEC gets is another year that a 2 loss sec team can get into the BCS championship game.

Under 25 Fan here.... and I don't claim to speak for everyone but think about this. We don't remember anything but bad LSU teams.

my cohort grew up watching our parents and other relatives scream at the TV and complain about the quality of our coaching and the wins. Sure we didn't understand it, but on some level we knew that LSU never was "that" team to be playing in the championship. We couldn't name the starting lineups but we could see that LSU wasn't playing in new years day bowls. The earliest memories we have are of LSU being a mediocre team and where winning seasons are accomplishments. In that time span, short of a 3 season span of progressively worse bowls under Dinardo (other than 1995-1997 we have seen nothing but mediocre lsu teams). What we have also seen is a program reaching its high water mark, a peach bowl, and then playing 2 independence bowls around it in 1995-1997. This would be when we are in middle school, and when our parents may have taken us to an LSU game @ tiger stadium.

Now reconcile this with when we entered college and LSU began winning consistently, we could watch championships and BCS bowl games. There is a part of us that understands, maybe even fears what will happen is the program that we have has hit its high water mark and is on its way down. And we all remember how miserable watching football is when the most you have to look forward to is an indpendence bowl. So if the team look like its struggling, yes the under 25ers will hit the panic button. We have grown up with a mediocre team that suddenly became great when we began to go to games regularly.
Now we see the same pattern repeating, BCS bowl, sugar bowl, peach bowl, and we're hitting all kinds of panic buttons before the LSU team ends up with a .500 season and a game in Shreveport.

Flu and sick? in September.... Anyone wanna bet its only gonna get worse this year as we go into november?
Congrats on calling it correctly.
I'd like to think its a function of an amazing offense than a fundamental flaw in the Tiger D.
The only people stopping the Husky attack were the Huskies themselves.

Heres to a good season for your team, may you go undefeated (ala Vtech) going forward to make our win look all the better.

I would love to see the complete meltdown of the Pac 10, Big 12, and Big 10 fanbases.

Don't you mean a meltdown of everyone else in the country outside of Baton Rouge and Gainesville? Though it would cement the SEC as THE football conference.

Logistically though, how would that work? Does the sugar bowl lose its sec team then?
I vaguely recall a two team per conference limit on BCS games. I imagine the BCS and all of the conference commissioners will also go stir-crazy.
