Absolutely. Sloan would be the scapegoat for BK. And they’ll make a big deal of some national search for an elite OC that will generate excitement for next season.

so I saw a separate report saying we ran it ok yesterday lol so who knows.
I think we will be fine if we're at least below average running it ,which would be better than last year when we were the worst in the sec

If LSU can’t run the ball again, changes need to be made

Somewhat veteran DL, good LB's, inexperienced OL, expected.

Look, don't read too much into it.

I went to scrimmage in 2003. Our offense, Mauck, Clayton, et al could not move the ball on the defense. Period. Looked like we had a bad offense. Nope, our D was just that good.

Either LSU's front seven is going to be way better than people think or we in for another serious concern season where LSU can't run the ball. If LSU can't run the ball this year like in years past under Kelly they're not going anywhere. They absolutely have to run the ball effectively to take pressure off Nuss.

Personally, I think this defense is just going to be better than

I think both things are true. The d line is really good and the o line and rbs can't run the ball well.

So you think we'd struggle after one week of camp? You mean like most teams

I’ve seen a few reports out there that said we had plenty of run 4 yards or more. No pressures on Nuss.

We are definitely struggling more than most teams right now.

Best case scenario is we are struggling because if so many new pieces vs. a talent issue.

It's our offensive line blocking schemes. They are much too predictable and we don't have enough maulers to overpower anyone. Our Oline is only as good as our weakest link and unless something has changed significantly, LSU has more than one weak link on the OL. I don't know if it is the design of our blocking or lack of effective technique. But I do know that there are very few holes for any of our backs to be able to run to daylight.
Hoping I'm wrong this year, but I think we need a new OL coach to teach Oline blocking.

You can tell most of this board has never been involved in a fall camp. It’s hilarious reading this stuff.

The number of people who can’t acknowledge a problem, even if temporary, is kind of amazing.

I don’t know about anyone else, but this is how camp is supposed to look when you have a good defense.

Agreed, the talent on defense has been so below our standards folks have forgotten what a good defense is. Or for some they just expect that the talent on defense is up to standard because for so long most of our lives it was.

Well it wasn't. Now it is. Let's watch.

Define vaunted, then go back and look up Clemson's defensive numbers from last year then come back and let's discuss a better word choice.

Actually, I went back and looked up the definition of vaunted and it honestly is the perfect definition for Clemson's defense. My apologies, I'm an idiot.
