I’ll answer it. I have no idea and I don’t think you do either.
Good thing I'm not the one making claims, huh?

Cam was probably paid. The two situations are kind of similar but not a true comparison to gauge anything really from it. (I didn’t bring up the Cam situation, someone else did). There was nothing that connected (thankfully) AU to Cam being shopped. I think a wire tap would have sufficed and AU probably goes down.
I mean yeah the NCAA could say “strong arse offers could mean anything when talking with a known handler/middleman. That’s not enough.” Or was that might be all they need. It’s not a beyond a reasonable doubt standard. It’s whatever the NCAA wants to do. That’s what sucks about it.
We disagree but if there was just a recording saying Gene Chizik made a stong arse offer to Cam Newton and nothing else to back it up. Nothing would have happened to Auburn.
These circumstances are so different though, all I am saying is just apply the same logic to both situations. You either got the evidence or you dont. Not this innuendo crap. Because you start going that route then you really dont have a fair justice system and youre opening up a can of worms.
Like the fact that North Carolina was not punished is beyond ridiculous.

Could be nothing or could be enough for them to move on it. We don’t know. But new reports coming out regarding 11 players means that info is coming from somewhere. It sucks as a b-ball fan to have that hanging over a program. Trust me, AU is familiar with it.

Wrong. You are overstating. EVERY = ALL. You have no evidence to prove that 100% (ALL/EVERY) of power conference schools are cheating.
You're right. Perhaps Northwestern (IL) isn't doing so.
But here is a list of schools identified in federal documents who had players potentially receiving improper benefits from a sports agency. And that is just ONE agency. If you think that those same players weren't also willing to take money from the school boosters, then I don't know what to say.
A list of the schools included in the report are:
Duke
North Carolina
Texas
Kentucky
Michigan State
USC
Alabama
North Carolina State
Seton Hall
LSU (this predates the Will Wade era)
Maryland
Washington
Texas
South Carolina
Louisville
Utah
Xavier
Wichita State
Clemson
Kansas
Creighton
Notre Dame
Vanderbilt
Virginia
Iowa State
LINK
If you are keeping score at home that list is comprised of multiple schools from the SEC, ACC, Big 12, Big 10, Big East, Pac 12...aka the major college basketball conferences.
Of course there is not going to be evidence of every school paying players. They don't exactly advertise on Linkedin for "job openings". But it is ABUNDANTLY clear you have zero understanding whatsoever of how major college basketball recruiting works. Unlike football, High School basketball is almost wholly irrelevant. Recruiting of the top talent occurs in the AAU circuit. The AAU circuit is mostly comprised of largely unregulated grassroots basketball "organizations". These organizations aren't run by dads volunteering to coach after work. There are thousands involved in AAU basketball as their career. The one commodity the AAU organizations have to sell is the players. Be it to the major shoe companies or, through runners, to the universities who are recruiting the players. The players, their family members and their handlers ALL know this.
If a coach at a major university wants to recruit a big time player...ALL of which are involved with some sort of AAU organization...he knows he is going to have to deal with some level of "runner" and the runner is not marketing the player out of the kindness of his heart. They are looking to profit...as is the player. Now, the asking price for some players (such as a Zion) is much, much higher than others. But if you, as a coach, are going to try to get top talent you know you have to play the game.
You can bury your head up your arse and think that's not how it works. The rest of us will reside here in reality.

Nope. I am convinced that the evidence thus far is extremely lacking.

I fully expect all LSU fans who are also Astros fans to defend Will Wade at every turn.
Posted on 8/26/20 at 12:24 pm to BallHawk
As I've said all along, they can't put words in Wade's mouth or assume what he meant by a strong offer. They just can't do that. And, they can't just take Dawkins' word for it. If they have tangible evidence that funds were exchanged, that is an entirely different story.
With that said, I firmly believe that we've been doing this kind of thing for a long, long time.

Pretty sure something would have happened had an AU coach been caught on a wiretap talking about strong arse offers.
Are you really trying to say a phone call that doesnt actually mention any Impermissible benefits is more damning than the father of the recruit publicly taking the blame for accepting money for his sons services?

Fire Wade now. Save football.

Who gives a shite. Most people with sense don’t give a shite about football and basketball. It does nothing but breed imbeciles who are leading the charge to ruin this country. Turn the shite off already.

Lmao I like how you’d filled the void of sports with telling everyone about how much sports you aren’t watching.

Along with every other consistently contending program. Wade was just careless at the wrong moment and time and was caught on tape. So what. Keep Will Wade and run some type of Mossad like operation to ensure you aren't busted red handed. You know, like Duke and N.C. and everybody else. Of course, they have Dickie V and crew working on their behalf like the liberal media does for the Democratic party. If Wade goes, Woody will have to pay a top notch coach a bunch of money to save our basketball program. Otherwise, we're in a coma for the next 10 years minimum.

Duke pays Zion’s family and the NCAA puts Mount Carmel university on probation .
