You should really try to listen to Jim Hawthorne on 98.1 commentating the baseball game while sitting at the box, it makes the experience much more fun!!

look at it this way(btw im 42 years old)when i was a kid the radio was the only way to catch the games...you may have got to see 1 or 2 games a year on tv.besides the radio and newspaper there wasnt many ways of following the tigers..younger fans have it good with the internet,phones and tv shows and plenty of other ways to get news on the tigers...i can remember when i was a kid how excited i would get to listen to the games on the radio with my dad and to be honest looking back im kind of glad we had it that way...to this day i listen to the radio and bring my head phones in to tiger stadium even though there not the big bulky ones from the 80s.

I am an ole bastitt and I like those old POS headphones because they work, are paid for, and I spent the $ for new ones on beer and whiskey. Now you know!
