Lacy’s attorneys issued a very strong statement early on denying he was involved. I think his attorneys were aware of these issues.

We don’t know that he had this info then. Had anyone heard when he received it all?
But then again why didn’t he find it on his own aside from the DA having it? I’m not a lawyer and have no clue how all of that works.

I don’t think anyone is blaming the cops for his doing what he did. I personally think news/sports media/social media did the damage.
But — I do think that the trooper needs to be looked out for what seems to be telling a witness what he needs to incudes in a statement.

How did they ever even know about Kyren to begin with?
LSP? stated on body cam they were looking for the green charger.

As I recall, as per usual, the vast majority of the TigerDroppings loud mouths had already convicted him. I posted where his lawyer said they had proof that he hadn’t done anything of the sort. This place is insufferable many times. The clowns show themselves on the daily here.

Drivers in the cars that he passed were upset that he passed them and was driving fast and said he was the reason the accident happened. They didn’t know that was lacy until a week or so later after they got a description of the vehicle

Except the driver in front of the lady specifically said the lady caused the accident. That's why they tell you to drive at least a car length away just in case anything happens to the car ahead of you. Sounds like from what the man said in that video with the cop, he wasnt driving fast and it was likely she was tailgaiting him to get him to go faster. Reason that's likely, my dad got rear ended by someone doing the same shite. He had to put on his break and she hit us. Tore her bumper off. But she was in the wrong.

The drivers in what cars that KL passed? He was passing cars north of where the accident happened. He didn't pass the accident site until after it had happened. The cars that he had passed would have been behind him at the accident scene.
And I will ask again. Who was KL's passenger? Ory mentioned a passenger in the Charger.

The problem with police is they get stuck on a theory of a case and will find the evidence they "know" is there. That's the real problem with police/investigators.
I'm not sure if Kyren had been charged yet, or was waiting on the GJ to return an indictment, etc. so idk that the prosecutors have much blame in this. At a minimum, though, whoever gave a statement affirmatively implicating the green car other than, "I saw the green car seconds after the other two hit each other"...needs prosecuting.

Cops directly kill people all the time and get away with it. They pulled up to a wreck and found a suspect as fast as they could. Government employees have two goals, do as little work as possible and don't risk their pension. And their bosses cover their asses all the time.
ok Karen

Yes Kyren was charged, turned himself in & had posted bond. Being that he was officially charged is why he was banned from the NFL Combine.

On January 12, 2025, Kyren Lacy met with Troopers and was booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex on charges related to the arrest warrant.
Lafourche Parish - On December 17, 2024, Louisiana State Police Troop C began investigating a fatality crash on Louisiana Highway 20 near Perez Lane. The crash claimed the life of 78-year-old Herman Hall of Thibodaux, LA.
The investigation revealed that the crash occurred as a 2023 Dodge Charger was traveling south on LA Hwy 20. The driver of the Dodge, later identified as 24-year-old Kyren Lacy of Thibodaux, recklessly passed multiple vehicles at a high rate of speed by crossing the centerline and entering the northbound lane while in a designated No-Passing Zone. As Lacy was illegally passing the other vehicles, the driver of a northbound pickup truck abruptly braked and swerved to the right to avoid a head-on collision with the approaching Dodge. Traveling behind the pickup was a 2017 Kia Cadenza whose driver swerved left to avoid the on coming Dodge Charger. As the Kia Cadenza took evasive action to avoid impact with the Dodge, it crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a southbound 2017 Kia Sorento. Following the crash, Lacy drove around the crash scene and fled south on LA Hwy 20 without stopping to render aid, call emergency services, or report his involvement in the crash. Troop C was later notified that Hall, who was a passenger in the Kia Sorrento, succumbed to his injuries from the crash after being transported to a hospital for treatment.

That is exactly what I’m saying the people in the cars behind him said he was swerving in and out of traffic. His brother was with him

To me, those statements are describing KL passing cars.

Did you hear what the dirty cop was saying or are you just deaf, dumb or retarded?

I want everyone who keeps saying that KL had no part of causing this accident to really think about the quote above...if Kyren was passing FOUR cars in A NO PASSING ZONE....at a VERY HIGH RATE OF SPEED....what LANE was he in heading straight for the woman who swerved? What LANE?
Now, why did those he passed...who didn't know who he was...why did each one tell the cops he was a factor which caused them to look for the green Charger that left the scene?
I dont care if he swooped back into the correct lane as the accident unfolded and eas caught on camera, what lane was he in prior, driving recklessly and illegally at a high rate of speed?
Just think about it.

How fast was he driving? I have not seen any documentation.
Where does it say that he passed 4 cars at once? That is contradictory to people saying he was swerving in and out of traffic.
Give me a link.
All that I have said was that other things could have happened to make the gold truck.slow down. He could have been wanting to make a turn.
The tailgating Funyun munching woman caused the collision by making a sharp.left turn. She was going to hit something. Why not the truck in front of her.
She wasn't paying attention to her surroundings and did not apply the brakes until it was too late. I doubt she even knew the Hall's car was right there.
See if you can find a simulation of your field of vision driving 49.6 mph behind 28 mph.
I'll wait

The LSP has to be the most overrated police force in America. Sharp looking uniforms and vehicles don't make up for incompetence and criminality.
