Why do people think their own private little superstitions have any impact on this game (or any game). Which socks to wear, where I sit to watch a game, what shirt I wear, what food I eat. Who cares?? Some LSU fan in Cheyenne Wyoming forgot to put his left sock on first and Joe throws 5 INT's?? It's just so stupid. People actually saying they won't watch the game because they might "jinx" the team. Insanity. A bunch of 18-22 year olds, who would rather be chasing tail, will play. Not you!

It’s kind of like people thinking their break down of an opposing team is going to help the game. They are not coaching the game though, so what does it really do? Or fans talking trash on message boards, like that actually helps the team.

You are obviously not a student of human psychology. But you are a condescending, unimaginative, literalist douche.

I fine this a little weirder than the superstitious guy. The ones that post on here and say “I watched Clemson and Ohio State for the 5th time and here is what I saw” are pointless. First off, where do you have that kind of time? Secondly, you are watching the tv broadcast of the game. You don’t see everything or know exactly what is going on without the all-22 view of the game.

Because we're from Louisiana? Because we just wanna have a little fun? Because it fits with our culture? Louisiana culture and folklore is rich with superstition and rituals.

But really, its a psychological thing . . . makes some people feel like they have a little control in something where it's clear, they have absolutely none.

Lighten up a bit. Have a chuckle about it and move on.

Geaux, Tigahs!

Finally, someone with some sense. These people have NO lives to watch a game 5 times and "break down" film. Go coach a real team, even if it's little league.

And if you don't, Joe throws 5 INTs. What power you have.

1BigTigerFan’s superstitions have made this magical season possible.

You shut your whore mouth and be grateful for the sacrifice he made so that we all could experience and enjoy this!

Yes - I actually watch the game, I et what I want, I drink all I want, I wear what I want. And I'm not worried about some fat frick in Alaska and whether he has the right LSU shirt on. I'lll just trust the team.

Do you think Joe having a caramel apple pop makes him play better? Of course it does not.

But at the same time it absolutely does. Sports are all about mindset, superstitions put you in a mindset it's that simple. Does the shirt I wear on gameday make a difference to a bunch of 18-22 year old kids who have no idea who I am? Not a single bit, but does it get me fired up, ready to go, ready to watch my team? You better believe it.

Focus and mindset are some of the most powerful aspects a team can have.
