Are we out of our minds to think we can do better than 3rd in the west every year? Forget championships for right now--are we delusional for thinking we should never finish worse than 2nd in the division?

It's not that "unprecedented" to expect Les Miles (if he is anywhere near the coach you pumped claim that he is) to have more than 1 for sure in 11 years. With the NFL talent that has come through LSU, 8-4/9-3 seasons is pathetic.

I understand LSU should have more quality wins considering the recruits that Miles gets but your expectations of the program are ridiculous. I don't think there's a coach out there that would come to LSU if he knew he had to win 3 or 4 NC's every 11 years. Including Saban.

The old fart comes in to defend miles again. Glosses over the poster calling him a great man and skips straight to the part where he questions his actual football coaching abilities, that are, you know, his job?

Ok. I got that. Although I don't see where age has anything to do with it, but if it makes you somehow feel that using an age reference solidifies your position, by all means do it.

Please explain.
Who do you claim glossed over the great man part and then questioned Miles' coaching abilities?

like I said, you guys have long term memory loss...

Nick Saban while in Baton Rouge

8-4 and 5-3 in SEC Play
10-3 and 5-3 in SEC Play
8-3 and 5-3 in SEC Play
13-1 and 7-1 in SEC Play
9-3 and 6-2 in SEC Play.

The SEC EAST ruled the land back then, not the SEC
West. Other than the championship year, Saban under-performed in many games. What he's accomplished in Alabama will never be duplicated, and he would never have had that type of success in Baton Rouge. From a business standpoint, he made the right move. I know it's not what you guys want to hear, however it's the truth.

Of course someone called "Paw-Paw" would say some worthless crap like this. Tell him to go be a fair weather fan of some other team.

"I've always been an Alabama fan and always will be, but now my team will always be wherever Coach Miles is."

Just seems like he is a Les Miles fan. Or did you read the whole post?

exactly.

Saban had a down Alabama, Ole Miss, MSU, and Arky. None of those teams are what they are today.

Think it is bad now, it will get wilder if UGA improves and TN and UF continue to get better and better. It is gonna be a blood bath in the SEC every year.
