He’s Trout good but better than Trout was at the same age.
Trout is one of the best players in the history of the sport. And had a 10.5 bWAR his rookie year, the all time record for a position player.
Crews is incredible, but Trout is Zeus on Mt Olympus.

Everything is as advertised. Dominant presence on the mound and just goes right at batters with a 100mph and says try and hit me.

Nats fan here and I hope the Pirates draft Skenes and Crews slips to 2nd.

Wish the sec schedule was different. Sucks we do not play Florida during the regular season. Would love to go drive over to Gainesville for that.

Holy shite some of you are insane. Crews is 21 and playing at LSU. When Trout was 21 he hit .323 and OPS .988 in MLB. He hit 27 HR and had 97 RBI.
Crews is good but he’s not Mike Trout who is a top 5 player of all times

According to 3 mlb scouts I sat by in RR, he and Crews are 1&2 in no particular order.

Why can’t it just be what the owners and GM want to decide to build around.
You absolutely never know what can happen to a pichers arm at any time so saying that to me pitchers are more of a risk.
Also sayin that Dylan is the best baseball player and hitter I’ve seen at this level just like most other here say.
If it’s my team. I take Dylan all day.

Surprisingly wrong. Pitchers are not thought of that way. Skenes, if he continues on he’ be 1 because in the bigs they want the Nola that can run out there. That’s 200 million. If Dillon crews can be a trout then yeah. Some people scout this stuff and are paid to do so

Trout was establishing himself as by far the best player in baseball when he was younger than Crews is now.

Skenes change up is dominant thus far. Righties have no chance against him this far.

along with two other pitches... they usually go 1-1.
He can actually throw 4 pitches for strikes. Insane for a hitter

I have a good long time friend who is a scout for the Pittsburgh Pirates (have first draft pick) He said they pick Crews or Skenes first depending on need. He also made the comment Every MLB Scout will be camped out in the SEC all season...whare All the talent is !

Most mocks have both going in the top 3
By June they will go 1/2
By June they will go 1/2

Whoever is picking first needs to trade their whole draft 2-30 to the team with the 2nd pick then the first team takes Crews and Skenes at 1, 2.
Case closed!
Wow, holy hyperbole (at least I hope it is hyperbole and not stupidity).
1. The MLB draft is only 20 rounds and not 30 as you have stated.
2. There are no trades of draft picks in the MLB draft.
The two points above basically gut your hypothesis.

But if you have a choice between drafting an all-world hitter or all-world pitcher, you always take the pitcher. The all-world hitter will be a nice consolation prize for the 2nd team picking.
Disagree and so do major league teams now a days. Too much risk for a pitcher over a hitter.

Could very well be a scenario where Skenes goes 1 and Crews goes 2 or vise versa. They will be competing all year for that number 1 overall selection.

There is no such thing as a pitching prospect
Slot money and who will sign for what will dictate everything, but all things being equal you take the bat
I bet the Pirates are over there salivating that Wyatt Langford is out for an extended period and can take him 1.1 way under slot. Pushing Skenes and Crews down. Cheap fricks
