FanDuel has him +6500 to win the Cy Young. If he throws the rest of the season I think he’s got a legit shot at it. He’s been one of the best in baseball since he’s been called up.

I don’t think he will be eligible. I think he needs to get to 162 IP
NVM it says it’s just up to the voters. I think they IP requirement is to win other pitching titles.

Great summary.
One thing I didn’t like about it though was how he kept going to how they are worried he could have arm issues. Any pitcher can have arm issues. He acts like 120 pitches is a lot of pitches. 120 isn’t shite for real power pitchers like Skenes. That was the norm for power pitchers like Ryan, Johnson (both of them), Clemens, Beckett, you name c them.
I just don’t understand why people continue to think this is a big issue throwing more than 100 pitches.
Some of those guys pitched a lot more than every 5th game also.

He is going to win rookie of the year because he has been up all season and is having a great year. Skenes doesnt have the same impact as an everyday player IMO.

Of course they will find more "injury" with today's technology. But I have yet to see a study regarding this 100 pitch rule and its effect on pitchers. Much like the mask requirements for a China Virus.
