I was thinking more of CC Sabathia/Bartolo Colon hybrid.

Comparing a righty to leftie is ridiculous

He looked like a complete pitcher tonight for the very first time.

He’s had good games with his off speed stuff before. It’s only the last few weeks we’ve seen him struggle locating his pitches. Regardless of what he says. Players tend to be their own worst critics.

He is more like Roger Clemens and Nolan Ryan with his power. He has good mechanics and will improve those even more, once he gets to the professional level. If he can stay healthy, he will be around for a very long time.

Randy Johnson did not have the control of his fastball like Skenes does. Hell most batters were scared to death to face Randy because of his wild pitches.

"Most players were scared to death to face RJ" : a friend played in the majors for 13 yrs & hit against RJ for 5+ years. He said that what was really scary, in the beginning, was that RJ had very little control & with his height giving him a release point a lot closer to the plate than most pitchers, batters had little time to get away from a really wild pitch. As his control finally improved, his speed increased, too, and many a player was "sick" on the days RJ pitched. Skenes has borderline great control. Kyle Peterson has said what's going to help Skenes in the pros is he's already has a major league pitching coach now.
