What were these young players doing since 8:00 this morning ? Final exams and school is over till August.

How do you lose focus to hit a baseball ? Run the bases ? Throwing pitches ? It’s a game that you played 51 times this season and you’re not focused ?

These kids have high metabolism and are not working jobs right now but they lost focus for a game at 5:00 in the afternoon.

That’s pure bullshite. Nothing but excuses with this guy. Be a man for once Paul ! Just retire and let us rebuild a once proud program. God darn

It’s the last week of the season, they are what they are.

LSU needs every win possible to make the postseason. Now isn’t the time to hope a senior who has never been someone you can count on will suddenly flip a switch.

The reason he hasn’t used Hellmers is because our starting pitchers have gone deep into most games. He has been used some on the weekend and he rather have him available for it if we need him.

Like the 8th inning at Ole Miss?

Unbelievable!! It’s his fricking job to prepare them.

1. He Acknowledged that.

2. Per NCAA rules he had to give them a day off so they could not practice yesterday.

Not true. He’s passed on Hellmers and put in guys who can’t miss a bat - in an SEC series. We had Hellmers AND Hilliard fresh as can be when we blew that Ole Miss 8 run lead.

No flooding in Natchitoches. NSU just kicked LSU’s butt tonight. If they play 5 games, I think LSU wins 4. They don’t & I am going to have to listen to all of the anti-LSU folks around here play rah-tah for the Demons. Thanks Tigers. Maybe y’all will be ready to play on Thursday.

At this point in the season, these guys need to know how to get going. Agree!

Them not knowing how to do that, well, that’s a leadership problem.

It’s his job and he’s not doing it. Simple.

I don’t have a response to that and wasn’t defending that. I was saying why he didn’t try to have Hellmers go deep into games. It was so he was available on the weekends if needed. He did pitch in some of the weekend series’ by the way. If you want to get hung up on the fact that he didn’t pitch when you wanted him to then go ahead. It doesn’t change the reason why he wasn’t extended during the midweek. It’s been said multiple times by the coach in interviews.

Okay he's just mocking LSU and the entire university that pays him. They should fire him tomorrow and don't allow him to retire here just to set an example.

Pawl is such an un-motivating coach. He just seems like such a miserable little hobbit.

The didn’t think they would play? Sorry but at this level if you love the game, you ALWAY want to play. As a coach it’s your JOB to ensure they are ready to play.
As far as fighting to play, go back to if you love the game, you always want to play.

I'm sorry but this is got damn LSU, it's the last home game of the year, and your back is against the wall. These are college kids, finals are over, and all they have to focus on right now is baseball.

You mean they can't motivate themselves and focus themselves for a game?

What an insane lack of player leadership. It's starting to make sense now. These kids just don't care that much.

I really wonder how many times these players are staying after practice, getting extra time in the cage, etc.
