Our OL should have been blocking (and then beating) the folks that hit Joe - our team, or not!

I'm waiting for the story after that incident where Joe drilled him in the nuts from 10' away. But y'all are right, it does show how weak the OL was to even let someone get your QB in a headlock. I'm not even upset at Jacoby coming in to help his defense mate. I can almost guarantee you that Joe did something to get ahead though. He doesn't let anyone best him.

I’m convinced that Joey B was actually the coach in 2019.

Me too.

At least Coach O admits it. He has said several times when they had offensive meetings Joey B was the smartest man in the room.

Props to Joe for standing up for him self when coach O couldn’t.

“Hey let’s beat up the QB cause he’s torching us” idiots

I don’t understand why they kept hitting the QB? WTF.

I think that’s just how that defense was wired. Someone I knew who was at practices said that stuff happened all the time. That entire team was full go 100% of the time, they didn’t know how to turn it off. It showed in games too. Go back and look at how often Jacoby Stevens would talk shite

Has anyone realized they aren't talking about 2019 yet?

Watching the way that Bengals defense rallies around and responds to Joe, I wouldn't be surprised to eventually hear a similar story from his NFL career. He is not a prima donna QB that shies away from contact or expects to be untouchable. He gets in there and mixes it up, even in practice, and I think that earns him a ton of respect from his whole team and even his opponents in many cases. He's got that rare ultracompetitive gene.

Sounds like a lot of embellishments in this story...

Glad we were the GOAT. But it shows the players didn’t even respect Coach O back then.

Quite the reach there. For better or worse, O gets the credit for putting together that magical 2019 season.

I’d love to see Myles tussle with the guys! Seems like a real heavyweight!

Most competitive team of all time. That’s one of the reasons they are the best ever.

This was 2018. They weren’t being competitive. They were being jerks because he was brought in and was going to beat out their boys.
