They are both right. Although I think Queen is wrong about 2018. As said before, throw roses at O for 2019, but rocks at him for chasing tail instead of wins after 2019.

People will never stop understanding that we had a woke team full of losers like Mr. Pancake, a failure, who had no idea what being a leader is like and were brainwashed by libtards, demorats, and prog filth to somehow take a leadership role from a team of bosses who were more worried about winning than marching on ignorant subjects.

Ed made some dumbass decisions in his handling of his public eye, and he isn't a top tier coach, but way more should be put on the team of losers who marched against their perceived idea that all whites are racist. When Ed didn't align w that, you had a disconnect from hc to the kids, and a team full of weak minded losers who couldn't hold the GOAT teams jock. Really wish we'd start being realistic about this swept under the rug bullshite.

Christ on a biscuit...what is it about the redneck riviera that brings out all the idiots who can't help but to time every fricking thing back to politics?

I loathe people that turn every single subject into politics. You and your ilk are a plague on and what divides this country.

Im sorry you can't handle the barely spoken on political division that affected the team without shitting yourself. Just bringing reality and truth to the subject.

So any counterpoint or you just here to piss yourself in the face of literal facts? Perhaps you'd have preferred we bent over to these useful idiots like saban did? Fair enough I guess. Not my stance, proud of O for not being forced to march.

I’d side with Fehoko if 2020 and 2021 didn’t happen

These things need some context.

First, O had personal issues, divorce, chasing tail, etc that kept him from being who he needed to be. That's solely on him, but that's not 100% of why shite fell apart.

The amount of talent drain from having was it 5? first round draft picks and a ton of other guys graduate or get drafted left 2020 to be a rebuilding year. (Saban might be the only coach out there in the SEC who has 10 win rebuilding years)

Dealing with Covid = no rent a wins, this skews the schedule to give us a non winning season.

Drama around the field house. shite went down hill after Coach O made some half arse comment about Trump being an Ok guy or some shite at the peak of BLM/ George Floyd protests, which def didn't sit well with local resident shite stirrer Ryan Clark.

Also pretty hard to win when your #1 WR decides he's sitting out the year before the first game.

And the #1 CB has a season ending injury (? he was out for what seemed like all year)

Having your #2 WR decide the season is over for him before the Alabama game and he's just going to focus on the draft.

O didn't get the right guys in place on the offensive coaching side and failed to develop Max Johnson, or find another transfer. Plus having Pelini (head scratcher) hurt the already inept offense.

We can see the talent he recruited, and the defensive staff he had in place was ready to make strides for 2022, but he was shown the door.

He's a motivator and recruiter. Program manager, not so much. What he needed was a guy dedicated to giving him good advice on management. Overall, he had a positive image and character that bode well for LSU when he was on ESPN.

It's def similiar. That 12 mil isn't going to pay out in the long run, and it hurts the entire sport both at home, and for everyone else to up the price for this league. Somethings gotta change, schools are going to run out of money quickly and it's going to be an even bigger mess than it is now. We need some damn structure in this league.

Absolutely. That’s when he lost the team. Nothing to do with girlfriends or lack of interest, but the shallow minded folks like to stick with that.

He’s saying that 2018 team should have been a CFP team if the offense worked.

that was O’s 2nd OC in 2 years and we still were sticking Joe Burrow under center and handing the ball to Nick 200 times.

saw the issues in 2020

Thats just not accurate. First of all, Ensminger was on staff since 2010. and the offense began to show immediate improvement when he was made interim OC by Oregeron in 2016 after Miles was fired. The Canada debacle of 2017 is on Orgeron, no doubt. He makes Ensminger OC in 2018 and we began to gel. Ensminger remains OC thru 2020.
In 2019,. he relinquishes some of his role to Brady and gets a ton of input from him. Brady leaves, and while the program begins to fall apart and we have a first year starter go down in the third game of 2020, we are still at least average most games under Ensminger alone. He then takes a lesser role by choice or forced to(?) for 2021 and the Peetz debacle and shite QB play takes us backwards.

quote:

O was sorta swinging wildly. he just knew what we knew: the offense stunk

I agree but not about the offense stinking, His downfall started when he was too stupid to realize he was about to lose both Aranda and he made the swinging wildly panic hire with Pelini. The offense would've been fine in 2020 if Brennan had not gone down, even after losing a generational QB. But yeah, by the time he hired Peetz, he was bailing water from the ocean back into the boat.

I've had a couple of college semesters like O coached college football. Started of with setting class curves and once the chicks and alcohol entered the picture I cratered.

You have no clue what happened behind the scenes. You're so politarded that you took one small story in 2020 and made that the reason we had a .500 season followed by a losing season.

At no point did I say I couldn't handle you politics. Just accurately pointing out people like you are destroying the country.

The narrative that we “began to gel” in 2018 is revisionist history.

The scheme was terrible.

People just say “well look at the past three games!”

Rice
7 OT vs A&M
UCF

2 G5 defenses and we scored 24 points in regulation against A&M. We only got to OT because the defense had a touchdown.

Memphis scored 41 points and had 582 yards vs UCF in the conference championship and 490 yards and 30 points in the regular season.
Temple had 670 yards and 40 points vs UCF.

The week before rice we scored 0 points against Alabama.
