I’m sure there is a less than 10% chance Meyer would come.

However I’m still making him tell me no personally instead of Texas rumors.

He came here with an understanding that he would be the next LSU System President.

I’m not doubting you or your sources or anything. I just have a hard time believing this. While I’m not a historian of university presidents, I think an AD moving into the system president’s office is equally uncommon and unlikely. Despite holding a PhD and having served as the former admin of NASA, Sean O’Keefe faced a lot of pushback when he was given the position as chancellor because he was not an academic researcher and had never previously been a tenured faculty anywhere. There would be a thousand times more resistance to a Scott Woodward.

How many times do you all allow yourselves to be put through this before you ask a validity question?

Each coaching search Pie in the Sky names get floated. Remember all of the Jimmy Johnson rumors? LSU hired Les Miles. Maybe temper the “make Urban tell me no” comments.

No one has been fired. There are only rumors that there might be talk about firings. The Cart goes behind the Horse.

No top coach is going to sign on until February. That's why Vol's assertion that we will soon be getting new coordinators and position coaches was BS. Until Title 9 is settled the program with and ultimately without O is at a standstill.

Vol and TBL post contradict each other

Both expect some type of change to happen. TBL is stating Title IX could get O axed. Vol is stating we will be hiring 2 coordinators and position coaches.

Woodward isn't letting O hire a fricking soul if the title ix isn't wrapped up yet.

Can't keep giving contracts and buyouts to people.

Announcing someone as interim head coach. I agree. The problem is there isn’t a single person on this staff qualified to be interim head coach.

There isn't anyone qualified to be the permanent head coach either, so . . .

said as much when it was first posted. The fact that Ed allowed himself to be photographed like that shows what incredibly poor judgement he is capable of.

I’m married and wouldn’t take that pic. And no one knows who the frick I am....20 people would see it.

Billy Ed Hatfield would put this under voodoo poonanny. It’ll make you do crazy things.

He was an OC at Arizona State

Vol is coming at this from the coaches angle source, i.e. what does O want to do to fix?

TBL is giving you the admin perspective of the situation.

Should be no surprise they are not aligned. You will know later this month which direction this is headed, if no announcements on Pellini or other obvious axes O is in real trouble.

Both are possible and a result that they have different sources

O probably is planning for new coaches

Woody is absolutely looking at whether O was complicit in the cover up. I think O was more willfully ignorant than anything. He let Verge and a position coach do the dirty work

Can we hire Napier just to see the melt in Lafayette? At least 15 people would be in shambles

There are no other people like that. That's why he's the best ever. It's only natural to reach the top of the mountain and exhale and look around and actually enjoy life. When Saban retires, I'll be surprised if you don't hear him say he regrets not enjoying it a little more.

You are wrong. You don't know the part of population that has a continual fire to win.

I think Napier would be a really solid hire.

Dude is a good offensive coach. He would immediately be able to recruit well in LA since he has relationships established already. He could put our players in space and let them play. AND he wouldn't rise and fall on an OC or not.

Immediately stabilize the program.

Agree on Napier, I think he’ll ultimately be the best coach from Saban’s tree as his in game management is ahead of Kirby.

If we don’t hire him, very good chance a major SEC program (Auburn, Tennessee) lures him and he’ll leverage his Louisiana contacts into recruiting wins against LSU.

1. Kiffin
2. Freeze
3. Napier

I would not be disappointed if first two say No. (Or if Freeze can’t be hired in SEC yet )
