As a HC? Y'all are crazy

Neither would get us to championship level. Y'all just want to be mediocre I guess

I'm sorry you feel that way boss, but the fact is that at the end of this year both Sumlin and Muschamp both had better records as head coaches than O had when he was hired at LSU.
Pointing out facts doesn't change my fandom at all. Still going strong after 40+ years of supporting LSU athletics.

Hell that’s a damn good record for that sorry arse franchise. The glory days compared to now.
To the OP the same thing happens in the real world too. I for the life of me don’t understand how some of the people I’ve worked with or for in my professional career worked their way up to head of a department or to run a company.

Muschamp might be worth a look next go around. Sumlin isn't bad, but no thanks.

Sumlin is a good coach. He had success at UH and also did really well at A&M when Johnny Football was behind center.
Never sniffed an SEC West title, even with JFF.
People are biased. They see what they want to see and ignore warning signs...........

Administrators know way more about the individual, their background, and their skill set than fans think they know about a particular coach from press conferences.
Come on now guys back off your negativity about coach orgeron

What is Sumlin's record vs LSU? We fired Miles hired O. What is Sumlins record vs O. Don't tell me Sumlin was handicapped. He had the best QB, Manziel, he was there long enough to have his program well established and still couldn't beat interim coach O.
I don't get the infatuation.

I don't know, but I'll email Ed to see how he continues to get chances despite his overwhelming incompetence

Actually the Browns BB coached are now the Ravens. He was coach there from 91-95, the Browns went to the AFCCG in 86, 87, 89.
What CheeriOs miss is he was fired the year they announced they were moving which was a disaster beyond his control. He then went back to being a dominating OC

Sumlin gets another HC position after doing nothing at A&M. Nothing. And with insane talent. Muschamp is another example. How does this happen time and time again?
Because every job now requires five years experience, no matter if you were a complete failure or not.

Sumlin has 1!losing season in 10 years as a coach, how is that a failure? Do you guys realize he’s being hired by Arizona who has never been to the Rose Bowl? He has the same record there he had at A&M he do just fine

You are pretty sad......
Not sad at all, whats sad are people still holding on to Miles.
Every argument they put forth is defeated with the fact no one wants to hire THE WINNINGEST COACH IN LSU HISTORY?

So many Debbie Downers on this thread...you all sound like a bunch of old ladies at the nursing home arguing over who won the last pot of bingo. Why don't you all aim that resentment for Coach O and his program toward something more productive? Try getting behind the Tigers and support them come hell or high water. That is if you are really Tiger fans! Or maybe you're a Tulane fan just trying to muddy up the waters here. Either way, STFU!
Eat a big ole fat dick. I cheer on gameday because thats all that matters. Keep rooting for con men and incompetence if you want to you blind idiot.

LSU is the coach killer. Miles won’t ever coach again a
Les Mikes can’t find a job because he’s 64 years old and would demand a lot of money, not because LSU killed his reputation as a coach

O damn sure will never get a HC gig again.
If Orgeron fails, no he won’t, but this was going to be his last chance regardless if it was at LSU or Louisiana Tech. If he succeeds, it will also be his last job because he’d prob coach here until he retired. He’s not young either. Nick Saban is doing ok. Even Dinardo found another HC job after LSU.

He didn't sniff an SEC West Championship with Manziel at A&M.

How about Archer, Hallman, Stovall, Dinardo and Miles? I'm pretty sure they all went on to spectular success after being penalized by LSU.
