Is it just me or does the media giving us the shaft?

I like Joel Klatt. He has some pretty common sense ways to look at college football.

But he has said multiple times "LSU lost to Troy! AT HOME!" and then when someone says "But they beat Auburn" he replies with "Auburn wasn't playing well".

Not just him but it shows my point. Auburn gets a bye for losing to us but we are still stuck with losing to troy as a way to devalue our team being on others' schedule.

Both teams changed dramatically after losing. we just lost to a bad 9-2 team.

But it feels like LSU losing to Troy is LSU being a bad team and Auburn losing to us was AU didn't play well.

The rules change in people's minds for diff teams. Just stupid to me.

No matter how anybody swings it, Auburn did not lose to a SunBelt team on Homecoming.

The frustrating thing for me in that segment he was like “Yeah that was when Auburn wasn’t playing well”. Like we played them week 1 or 2. Um no it was Week 7 and they were up 20-0. They were still good

The truth is that it does not matter now WITH A COMMITTEE doing the selection. They will do their politics and basically look at the number of Ws and Ls only, not much beyond that ... unless it suits their agenda.

Not like the BCS where the computer would track (irrelevant of the school name) the smallest of details.

I agree with OP, but we win the Troy game and it's a whole different conversation. You can't lose those types of games. I'm not complaining. I'm glad it happened. I think it woke everyone up. However, by losing the rent a wins, you kind of open yourself up to criticism.

All the football team can do is learn the lesson and not let it happen again.

Its apples and oranges, Auburn lost to us away in confrence. We lost to Troy out of confrence at home, scoring not a single point in the first half. Troy loses their next game at home on a Wednesday night to South Alabama. They didnt score a point until the 4th quarter, 19-8!

In what reference did Klatt say this? Obviously, LSU isnt going to one of the major bowls ranked 17th and at 9-3 whether they lost to Troy or beat Auburn.....

Some people rank teams based on their worst loss vs best win. It is what it is. At the end of the year there are many ways to rank teams with similar records. Strength of schedule is hardly ever rewarded somehow by the committee. Look at Auburn, lost to Clemson on the road and guess what if they lose Saturday theyre out and maybe Alabama or Ohio State is in. Go figure that one out. WHy is Auburn penalized so greatly for scheduling Clemson on the road?

Some people think if you dont play in the conference championship game you shouldnt be able to make the final 4. They believe getting a bye for finishing 3rd vs the other 2 teams having to play an extra game because they finished 1st and 2nd is BS.

Everyone has an opinion on who should be ranked where and why, just like you favor the win at home over Auburn more so than the loss at home to Troy. Thats your right and your opinion, others share the opposite opinion.

Going to the Citrus or Outback is the best LSU was going to do with a 9-3 record no matter who they lost to or beat. Thanks Ole Piss.
So what difference does it make if someone getting paid to express their thoughts is ripping the Troy loss or hyping the Auburn win? Show me where the under valuing you speak of is?

Auburn beat Bama bad, Bama is the gold standard

Every team pays the price for bad loses.

He was saying Bama doesn't deserve to go to the CFP because they schedule poorly, they didn't win division or conf and their biggest win is either State(whose schedule is the worst) and LSU(lost to troy). I agree with him on this.

My thing is Troy was a fluke win and nobody seems to look at it that way. It proves we're bad even tho the team got better throughout the year. LSU wasn't really a big part of what he was talking about. He just devalued us beating AU while saying they were a good team.

That's what Klatt was talking about. He was saying the committee was propping up State, LSU, AU, Clem, UGA to boost Bama and the SEC in general.

Then after Bama lost, they put Fresno in the top 25, left state @ 24 and have LSU ranked higher than they should be. Boosting Bama for if Wisc loses and putting Bama in.

He was saying it was rigged for Bama basically.

I’d submit the wins were bad wins outside of AU.
The losses to MSU and Troy, while were bad, beating teams like UT did nothing to prove LSU is legit.
Playing an injury riddled Bama team and losing by 2 TDs and them kneeling in the red zone at the end, was a bad loss. He
