This topic again.
It all comes down to accounting. Women's basketball and baseball (and gym, etc) all get credited with $0 from the Non-sport specific TV revenue. Which is basically ESPNs lump sum for rights to all non-event programming and non-football/ men's basketball sports.
There is also a massive pool of non-sport specific contributions (TAF $) that the athletic dept allocates as needed.

Where would I find them? I wanted to compare baseball and women's basketball.

There are two sources. 1st is the Louisiana Legislative Audit Report.
Page 17 of the .pdf
2nd is from the LSU website (or Google LSU Athletics Financial Report 2025).
LSU Athletics NCAA Financial Report
You can actually find these for every school typically by searching "School" EADA Survey. They are publicly listed due to Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) requirements.
Went down the rabbit hole a couple of months ago looking into LSU Men's basketball compared to other SEC schools.
Granted there is plenty of accounting handwaving involved. That's how some schools just happen to report perfectly balanced books.

I've already seen that link. It doesn't have the information I'm looking for, nor what the poster I asked supplied for WBB vs MBB.

How do you justify spending 5% of your rev share on a sport that loses 8 million dollars annually?

This used to be true, but LSU changed how their financial reports are formatted starting in FY24.
In FY23, LSU reported $120MM in “administration” revenue and $62MM in sport-specific revenue.
In FY25, LSU reported $28MM in “administration” revenue and $138MM in sport-specific revenue.
The huge buckets for tradition fund, SEC distribution (which includes SEC media contracts), and “net revenue-related activities” (whatever the hell that means) have been removed from the “administration” portion of the report.
So LSU is now splitting up that media revenue somehow.
FWIW baseball revenue increased from $5MM in 2023 to $8.4MM in 2025, following the change in reporting. WBB increased from $1.5MM to $2.6MM.
There is still a $27MM line item for “sports productions” (previously titled “electronic media” before the formatting change) that is not allocated to a specific sport. I’m not 100% sure but I think this includes the Playfly Sports contract among other things.

If you’re looking for the full breakout by sport, the NCAA forms are the best source.
LINK
Click on “NCAA financial reports.” Every school has to submit these annually to the NCAA.
ETA: Oops, I see someone already said the same thing.

And stop and think about what you're posting there which I think is right on point men's basketball. As sorry as it has been the last 4 years still turns a profit. Now. If you have a winner, how much more of a profit would that sport be turning? I know it's more than just butts in the seats, but when you have more butts in The seats you're selling more programs. You're selling more concessions that all has to add up and as much as I am a baseball fan, it's something else that baseball loses money, which when we talk about revenue sharing the real hard-liners for baseball. Have to think about that. anyway. I want us to be great in every program and of course women's basketball I'm pulling for. have gone to the games and will continue to pull for her. But we do need to look at cutting expenses somewhere in there if we're losing that much money

Some of these numbers are pretty eye opening.
The baseball vs women's basketball comparison really does not look good for WBB. More scholarships for fewer players. More coaches with higher salaries. Higher travel budget for few people playing fewer games. Less offset by third parties paying expenses directly.
For merch they lump it all together department-wide, which kind of sucks but it probably keeps people from getting their feelings hurt.

LSU is the only high major basketball program in the country that pays the women's basketball coach more than the men's coach.

Y’all do realize the vast majority of money brought into each program and team is from TV revenue. It is not from butts in seats or concessions.

That’s not really true. From LSU’s FY25 NCAA financial report:
Ticket sales: $53.6 million
Program/parking/concession sales: $10.8 million
Contributions: $65.7 million
Media rights: $53.1 million
Media rights include all TV/radio/etc. rights, both paid directly to LSU and via SEC distributions.
Ticket sales alone are more than media rights. And a big chunk of the “contributions” come from seat fees that are, effectively, part of the ticket price.
Media rights certainly make up a huge part of the athletic department’s revenue, but it’s certainly not the “vast majority.” Media rights do make up the majority of men’s basketball revenue, though, since we get a pretty big paycheck just for being part of the SEC.
