Agree we should be. and I think we can be. I said before the season we would beat Ole Myth, but I thought we'd have a running game....we don't.

It's really weird how easily y'all dismiss a trap game on a short week after a road game suffering jetlag.

You don't get jet lag from a 2 hour flight.

I think it’s a 3-hour flight, but I don’t think Kelly used the term “jet lag.” He simply said they got back at 5 am on Monday morning, when we usually get back from a game late Saturday night. We played on Sunday, so it was a short week anyway, even if we’d have played at home. And it was after a devastating loss that they’d been geared up to play for 8 months. And before our SEC opener on the road. Of course we didn’t have the normal juice.

It’s not an “excuse,” but it is a “reason.” Did anybody want to hear it? No. Should Kelly have mentioned it? Probably not. But it was a thing and he was being honest. Not a good enough “reason” for our performance, but in context, it’s not a reason to give up on the season. Got the win, learned some things, and move on to the next.

Bama????? Idk how great or bad they are.

I'm still saying 9-3 / 8-4 but anything is possible.

I don’t think you understand how bad our D-line is right now. Our DTs are either extremely young, inexperienced, or just flat out bad. Any team we play with a competent running game is going to push our shite in. Our only chance is Nuss playing lights out and turning games into shootouts. It’s going to get harder on him though if LSU can’t find a running game.

I'm still worried about losing the games you think you should win.

(Arkansas, and a&m)

I think we can beat OU.

If these games go bad, we are looking at a really bad season.

I'm worried about USCe. If they don't run block better, find the creases that might be there, or get creative in the run game, this will be a close one. I feel like we will be using the pass to open up the run plays.

If the USCe game is tight, we lose to OM. OM is going to light up this secondary. I think we have a better chance at beating Bama than OM.

Said it before, LSU’s three most difficult games are all home games. 2/3 (if not all 3) will be night games. Ole Miss, imo, will be the most difficult just because they’ll be the toughest game to date at that point in the season. Essentially have 3 more tune up games to get right before then.

The secondary should be experienced enough to make an impact by Ole Miss. The question mark is if/who steps up at DL. This is where we should hope to see McKinley and/or Washington see significant time to get acclimated asap.

Ole Miss, Alabama, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma are not guaranteed wins. So 7-5 is not as far fetched as you think.

Please tell me 4 more teams that LSU will lose to so I can point & laugh

I watched what Arkansas did to Ollie Gordon on the road this past weekend and after our first 2 weeks' performance, I'm not sure we'll run for more than 10 yards on them without major improvement

Ole Miss won’t really be tested until they play us.

They play at Wake, home vs GA Southern, home vs Kentucky, and at USCe.

LSU also has a buy the week before so we get 2 weeks to prepare. Should be a great environment.

I do think this is one of Ole Miss’ better teams in awhile though.

It's simple. Win nine more games.

The path to a 10 win regular season starts and ends with the defense drastically improving vs the run.

Call me naive but as long as Nussmier is QB1 and healthy, I give LSU a shot in every game. If he goes down, there’s a real chance they barely make a bowl game. That’s how high I am on Nuss with this team. He’s everything for this teams success.

I need to see them beat South Carolina before we start talking about 10-win nonsense.

Agree with you completely. At this point, I’m worried he leaves for the draft after playing so well this year
