Not to take anything away from that 2019 Oline but let’s be honest Joe made them look good a lot of times.
Point being, imagine Joe with this line.

Brady had Burrow getting the ball out of his hand very fast, so the OL did not have to hold their blocks very long.

How many snaps has D.J. (Don't say DJ in my presence) Chester taken at Center against an SEC team when the "Lights come On?" (Not many, if any)

Practice reports are saying he's having trouble in Pass Blocking and is getting beat by our "Mediocre" DL.

Nobody is saying anything about this because yall are too busy Pumping in that light from Sol..........

4 of the 5 starters are on NFL rosters. S. Charles retired this week but was starting for the Titans more than likely. Cush and Damien Lewis have second contracts over 50 million each. Deculus is a backup for the Jett’s. Ed Ingram is starting RG for the Vikings. That 2019 Oline was pretty damn good.

Nuss will feast behind this line. He is already very good at looking downfield and going threw his reads. With is arm strength and extra time, if Lacy and company can hang onto the ball, I'm telling you, Nuss will throw for over 4K yards, barring injury. In addition, because of his ability to push the ball downfield, it should really open it up for a solid if not great running game. With Caleb coming on, and our TE room, if we can stay healthy, watch out. I'll be disappointed if we don't put up 40+ against USC.

And the line saved Joe’s arse more than that

As excited as I am about that, I am more excited for the running game.

History has proven that 2019 O line was extremely talented, the best in college football that season.

Same. I don’t think we are talking about the run game enough.

Chester played nearly the entire second half vs Missouri last year. A game where LSU HAD to keep scoring because the defense was terrible. The fact that you don’t remember that probably speaks to the quality of Chester’s performance. True Freshmen, in his first action, thrust into a shootout game…and the offense didn’t miss a beat

Interesting take, semjase. Gues people really do see/hear what they want to hear.

He may choke. But how many times did Turner get pushed into the backfield last year? Lots. Even happened in the bowl game, and it was done by the defensive lineman that transferred here. You probably think he is poo as well.

This is practice. In a game you can scheme for help to be there for him.

If LSU can control the clock with their run game and keep the defense off the field it’s gonna be a good year. I loved watching the offense last year but knowing for every touchdown they scored it meant the defense was going to go right back out there and let the other team score was sickening.
