Some of you are insufferable. Jay Johnson has been here not even half a season with a pitching staff that Pawl left in shambles and you want him gone already. I agree the errors have to be fixed but my God give the man at least two or three seasons to get things set up… Plenty of talent but Marinara never recruited for “needs” he recruited for “wants”. We NEED better pitchers. Give Jay some time before you go on your idiotic rampages.

People act like he took over some incredible roster and bullpen. Yes, 1-5 have a ton of firepower, but we were not good last year and lost our best pitchers from a team that barely slipped into a regional as a 3 seed.
He hasn't had a chance to make this his team. We're 20 games in. Relax.

also like to add that there is a million games left in the season. Really dont know how some of yall here can actually enjoy anything. I mean unless we are winning every single game and # 1 in the country.

Why didn't Jay Johnson improve the team via the portal then?
Gone are the days of a coaches 2nd and 3rd high school recruiting classes being used to judge him.
He had plenty of time to work via the portal to improve this roster even more. Not using the portal adequately is a new barometer to measure part of a coach's success

Yea that will fix it all in his first season… He hasn’t even had a chance to really install his own culture and fans are calling for his head. The portal is well and good and he did bring some with him, BUT that doesn’t change a team in one year. Get real.

This team gets worse at fielding on a weekly basis. The same guys who were decent at fielding last year are fricking terrible this year. Maybe someone should explain this

Most people are frustrated. Like myself. Some of these errors I’m seeing are torture.
But people calling it a bad hire already are pretty insufferable. But this is nothing new. This is just how some of our fans are. Nobody really gives a shite. Let them whine and cry. It’s not going to change anything. Nobody important hears them.
After next season is where people who matter will really start to look at production. We’ll see where JJ is then.

There’s no reason fans can’t be critical. It’s part of our place in the sports world to be critical of the program top to bottom. TD is going to be on the extremes. It’s a main aspect of any social network where the most outrageous and hyperbolic statements get the most eyes/responses/clicks. Its actually an interesting social dilemma that “rewards” extreme behavior. We haven’t figured out how to deal with that yet. And it’s fricking up society in lots of ways. But I digress.

I love the 180 spin. He has 4 all Americans in his lineup alone. Sure the pitching isn’t great, but he has the pieces in place to be beating some good teams and he hasn’t yet. Do I want him gone? Hell no that’s laughable right now. But before the season it was, Omaha or bust!! Now what are we talking about?
