Other than Simmons, has any LSU hoops player made it to the NBA after freshman year?

Does Tyrus Thomas count? He redshirted but only played one year.

ETA: Good call on Randolph

Tyrus Thomas was a RS Freshman when he entered the draft

Stanley Roberts could be considered a one and done. He was academically ineligible his freshman year. Then left after his sophomore year.

Was a true one and done, and ironically he played for a mediocre-bad LSU team as well.

Had my first class at LSU with him and about 15 other athletes and it was entertaining to say the least.

Ron Brooks would straight up just pull his phone out and play Wipe Me Down out loud during class with not a single frick given.

Randolph had a snaggletooth and other guys on the team would act like they were trying to pull it out all of the time.

When he plays a game, he will technically make it to the NBA.

Thinking of Randolph makes me wish all the guys who went early to the NBA and should have stayed here longer.

Glen Davis
Jordan Mickey
Jarell Martin
Antonio Blakeney

Just want more 4 year type guys like a Tasmin Mitchell, not leave at the first sign of potential money. I can only imagine how some teams would have turned out if they stayed longer.

I feel the same way. And I don't blame most guys for leaving early. It's really hard to turn down that kind of money as an 18 or 19 yr old.

But as a fan, it's more enjoyable to follow these players over 4 or 5 years (including their senior years in HS) imo. Obviously, you want talented players but there's something to be said for guys who've seen 3 or 4 years of college ball and were able to put it together over time (a la UNC this year).

Played beer pong against Randolph in the athletic dorm (friend was a golfer).

Pretty unfrickingfair His reach made it like dropping the ball in the cups

What are you calling "the athletic dorm"? The NCAA outlawed them in 1996.

The dorm behind the PMAC all the athletes lived in?

I'm sure its officially something else and has non-athletes living there
