We might as well not even have TEs on the field. We don't throw to them and they can't block.

2 of those were just straight jails breaks but my problem is Harris is a good 10 yards or more behind the line of scrimmage on most throws. That gives these defensive ends a lot of room to simply run around the tackle to make a play. Harris needs to learn to feel the pressure and step up into the pocket. We run way too much play action dropping him deep with his back to the field as well. The fake fools no one and simply takes him longer to make the throw/read correctly. Overall its shite.

The only good thing I can say about that is atleast we didn't have two guys blocking each other like Florida did.

Those gifs are horrible

Take a look at this.

Malone (63) gets beat again right off the line; LF7 comes over to pick up his block, but Malone doesn't know his assignment and does nothing to protect the QB. Harris panics, loses his footwork, and misses and wide open Dupre.

Really, when you look at all of these , it is great scheming and scouting by Wisconsin. They determined that the foot work on the leftside, mainly Clapp was suspect and that he did not pick up a lot of line call adjustments. They also guessed correctly that sending in a nickel back ( CB or Safety) on the edge, on Malone was to their advantage.

Note that this does not happen on the right side much at all.

JD did his job though. He destroyed that poor kid.

81/84 chase each other through the hole and touch no defender, JD blows his guy up, then Clapp pulling has 3 f'ng guys stacked to take out? This shite is ridiculous.

Who is their teacher? I know why we can't block or execute anything with consistency. We are HORRIBLY predictable. Why does it seem like there were three Alabama defenders in the backfield? Tey talented, yes. But so are we.

In effect, we run a goal line offense and/or the offense to kill the clock late in the game. We do it ALL game long. We are very dumb disguising anything. We will get our backs killed.

I'm at a loss at this point. How can they be that bad? Is it coaching? I mean we can pile on Les for play calling and scheme but they can't go out and block for them. I just don't get it. Those guys are lost WTF is all I can say or ask. The coaches I had in high school would have been tearing us a knew one all week in practice they would have run the frick out of us.

Me too. But at least I know where the root cause of the problem lies - poor OL play. Harris will be the scapegoat because of that game deciding INT, but he might have played much better throughout the rest of the game with decent protection.

Problem I see in a lot of these plays is Harris refusing to step up into the pocket. He takes a 3-5 step drop even out of shotgun and when the tackles push the linemen outside they are right at Harris. Problem is, Harris is afraid to step up with our Guards allowing push all day

The other thing is that plays are still getting called in late, limiting time for OL to get set, call priorities, then LB steps up in no time to call/change. The experienced guys should still be able to handle these scenarios yet still did a poor job. Some of this stuff looks like a 2-3 year starter in high school would recognize play responsibilities, what are they really being coached to do?

Offensive line isn't any better than they were last year against Bama.

He apparently does not have the clarity to recognize and change out of plays, may not be allowed to, but some of those plays he could have done things way differently to improve a plays chance of success. This team just seems woefully undercoached on offense.

Yup.....the offensive line has basic responsibilities that you always default to. No matter what shifts occur, there are spaces and checks you never ignore.

What I am seeing is a basic/fundamental detachment from the basic calls.

This one is incredible to me. It's not like Wisconsin was giving some exotic look. Hell, they didn't even have another player except for their 4 down lineman near the LOS. Why Malone didn't think he should block the guy lined up right over him is baffling.
