The Coaching Changes board is SUPER anti-Orgeron
I've been wanting Fisher from the start and taking a 'wait and see' approach with O'. I've never bashed him.

If LSU wins tomorrow, O' is even with Jimbo for me. If we finish the regular season 9-2, he deserves the job in my opinion. He's given me no reason as the LSU head coach to not support him.

If a OC is not living up to your expectation you replace him. That's how it works. Same on the defensive side. You don't keep a bad OC because you want to get a 5 star QB recruit if that is what you are trying to say. But the point is you have to let these guys run whatever side of the ball you hired them for. If you are second guessing them all the time it makes for not so good football efficient relations.

Then you have no concept on how college football works. They don't recycle guys after 1 or 2 years.

Same reason why it would be idiotic to give O a "2-3 year" contract. Recruiting completely changes the coaching landscape and how you make decisions

WhT if Herman or Jimbo hire bad coordinators?

Neither one of their defenses are really lighting the world on fire.

Don't ignore one possibility while taking in consideration both sides of the argument.

When the anti O's keep using his Cajun heritage & accent against him, claim that he's begging for the job based on an interview that has been totally misrepresented, it reminds me of all the liberals on the political board: their hate makes them dumb & dumber. Give the man a chance to play out the season. And I have heard no one from LSU saying they will disregard any better candidate & pick their 3rd choice. One "source" here claimed that if LSU beats Bama tomorrow, the job is his. I have not read or heard that anywhere else. I loved his comment bout country club types. I see absolutely nothing negative about those words.

Houston fans hate Applewhite and pretty much blame him for this season.

Sorry to break it to you, but if O is retained, LSU may have the #1 class in 17

With Coach O, I throw out the Ole Miss seasons. he has openly admitted his mistakes and publicly stated how he has corrected them. It has shown at USC and so far here at LSU that his corrections have worked. He has this team playing competitive football with a staff of interim coaches

Textbook case of confirmation bias.

Really?? And you do?? I only played college football, so I must know a lil something. And believe me I've seen OC's come and go if they aren't getting the job done. But if an OC is doing a hotshot job, then there is no reason to get rid of him.

but as I said Mr expert, you have to let these guys do what you hired them to do. Saban lets Kiffin run the offense, but if he is unhappy about omething that he called. He'll rip into his arse like he's known to do, but for the most part he lets him do the job he hired him to do. Miles did not do that with Cam Cameron, but Cameron was a bad OC also.

You may want to recheck Houston's defensive statistics.

Everyone has been kissing BAMAs arse about that offense (whom has played absolutely no one) and Saban doesn't have a hand in it.

Have you not seen Saban on the sidelines ripping into Kiffin? Do you really think that Saban just goes behind the bench and drinks gatorade while Bama is on offense?
