I don't think those guys were an option. We all saw that spring game. If he'd gone with one of them, he may very well have been unemployed again by now. I think he knew that his job depended on finding a solution at QB.

It worked out for both sides, Burrow needed to catch on with a major program and we needed a legitimate QB in the worst way.

Narcisse and Brennan were both Top10 prospects. I think I would be right to guess that most HCs would have stuck with whoever was the best of the 3. There were posters on here with "inside info" claiming that players were going to revolt if Narcisse wasn't named starter. Then brining Burrow in and elevating him would tear the team apart.

That wasn't just an easy choice for O and staff to make.

Surrounding yourself with a good staff is what good coaches do.

He has learned a lot and has made terrific hires and adjusted to what isn't working, the sign a of very good coach.

Yep. Hard to argue against the job he's done this year

Most coaches weren't coming off of a season losing to Troy and MSU. His job was on the line if he had trouble again last season. Sticking with one of those guys was not an option for him.

We lost 3 with Burrow. With one of those guys we lose UGA and AU, maybe Arkansas. I think he was going to bring in a transfer by any means necessary. He happened to get one of the best transfers in CFB history.

Hell yeah!
We could have hired Kiffen, Jimbo, Smart, or Herman, someone we could be proud to talk about.

No shite retard. Thats not what we were talking about though.
Im still waiting for you and first cut to admit that yes scheme was our biggest problem last year and yes rick you were right about spreading people out and not inviting more people to the los with a max protect philosophy.

And if O has half of the last coach's accomplishments youll get an orgeron lower back tattoo when you go on one of your drunken benders

The HC has done an incredible job thus far. But it's an incomplete grade right now.

We have a rare talent at QB, arguably putting up the single greatest season at QB for LSU.

Ultimately the HC will be judged on how far he can take this rare talent, because we don't know when we'll ever see it again. I think we'd all be disappointed if we didn't even make the playoffs with this type of offensive proficiency.

This, we should enjoy the season, but O has yet to win something of significance, and do it consistently year to year. It looks he's going to get the chance to prove it, and we should enjoy the ride.

He has to win the SEC West at this point, he's proven that he has a staff that can put together a gameplan. He has to win when it really matters now.

Winning really does make people forget the negatives.

O wasn't top flight when our offense was a debacle in 2017 and 2018.

I look at the hiring of Joe Brady as an absolute turning point in Os career.

The first thing Orgeron talked about in his post game presser was that LSU hosted a lot of the top recruits in America last night. That speaks volume of his vision.

He wants to stock LSU to the brim with elite talent.
