I don't want to let this be a "Bash Ens" situation. I love Steve Ensminger (eta :nohomo: NTTAWWT). A great tiger - one of my favorites.

And he hasn't done a terrible job. Even flashes of greatness (the interim stint, especially he called some great games), most recently against UGA.

But, he isn't the answer to the Bama dilemma. We need Kiffin, either Briles (obviously, Kendall more likely), a sober, motivated Sark, hell even someone like Phil Longo. But not Ens - and that's not a knock on him.

I'm not the answer, either. Neither are a lot of those guys out west who run high power offenses against, essentially, air on Saturdays.

We need either an NFL guy (which is unlikely), luck into some prodigy or bite the bullet and hire Kiffin or a Briles.

Like tomorrow.

What's the reality of this happening? Not arguing, actually agree with you here.

I'm not saying Orgeron is thrilled with the job Ensminger is doing, but even if he isn't he's certainly not going to air it out in public. We need to watch his actions, not listen to his words at the end of this season.

Well we have 3 games left so he better be trying to keep the train rolling.

Also, he and Steve have a great relationship so i wouldn't expect him to trash Steve to the press.

We've seen coaches be critical in the past, but sure, I hope it's just lip service.

Yep, that is precisely why we are so very fricked.

The problem goes beyond Orgeron and Ensminger. LSU's current administration is not willing to commit to doing what's necessary to have a championship program. That's what brought us to where we are today...to an offense that is statistically worse than any we've had since 2007. If Orgeron, Alleva, and the BOS believe that this is acceptable, then we are truly fricked.

his vision was having the pete carroll USC offense, his vision is being flushed down the shitter.
Well for starters, Pete Carroll could recruit and develop QB's who would go on to be high level draft picks. Even had his backup QB who never started in college and threw a total of 33 career passes at USC end up getting picked in the draft and became a starting QB in the NFL for a while.

probably higher than we think.

he didn't want the position and offense has gone backwards.

Think he isn't as hard headed as CEO and would step down before being forced out.

Well in fairness he's only made the same mistake twice.
In a two year period.
Perspective is important.

Now, are we SURE Alleva didn't slap a huge buyout on his contract?

He has done good. But we need to hire someone that puts the fear of God in Sabans head

When O Line plays decent we look pretty good.
When the suck... we don’t.

Remember opening drive vs fla?

Real simple.

YEP, 321 yards and 0 points in 2 games.

absolutely, where does LSU rank on offense nationally and in the SEC? There's your answer for perspective.

He's been serviceable and took a job he didn't want, basically forced. He in not the answer long term.

LSU and LSU fans were told the best coordinators and SE is not. I expect him to step down so he isn't forced out.

You just basically proved why we need a new offensive coordinator.

We have the talent to destroy Florida on that drive, but sucked arse the rest of the game.

You think maybe it was because Florida picked up on what we were doing and changed their gameplan? And we in return did not have a scheme for whatever they were doing?

Think it is only a 2 year contract, $850k per year.

Sullivan was a 1yr 450k

Let Sullivan go, give SE a reduced pay over X years and still on staff.

Go get a true OC
