So, according to these "sources", Tim Corbin is their first choice, but it's also Casey's job if he wants it? Doesn't that sort of rule out Corbin being the first choice?

Strange, my search for “Tim Corbin says he doesn’t know if he has the energy to coach” didn’t return any results. Did I miss something that’s supposed to make him comparable to another candidate being mentioned?

Corbin (though his reps) expressed interest. However, that interest may very well just be a leverage play against Vandy. With LSU's commitment to the sport and their willingness to pay HUGE money (relative to college baseball) interest in the job is a big leverage opportunity for great coaches. Perhaps the biggest opportunity that has existed or may exist for a while. If you are the agent of a great CBB coach you should be fired for NOT inquiring about the LSU job on behalf of your client...even if your client really has no real desire to leave his current position.

I don't think a guy like Corbin has a huge desire to leave Vanderbilt. That said, Woodward hasn't necessarily be shy to offer stupid money to get a coach he wants. If you are Tim Corbin making ~$1.5 million and another school, with all the resources to win at the same level at which you are winning at your current school, is willing to perhaps double your salary, you seriously listen to what that school has to say.
