I don't like it. 6 home games?
Not to worry. I'm certain that our TAF/Tradition Fund contributions will be adjusted accordingly.

And the biggest problem (for some at least) with the bars in Arlington is that almost all of them are non-smoking.
Take that stink outside. Wish our legislature had the seeds to do the same.

Alleva as AD >>>>> Skip as AD
Verge Ausberry has been in control of scheduling with the input of the head coach for years, I doubt Alleva made this happen

This would be a great game to attend! heard the new cowboy stadium is un-freakin-belivable! Hope this really doese pan out for the Ducks and Tigers.

So does this mean Texas isn't pissed anymore about that whole College World Series thing?

Skip served as AD to boost his retirement income. No other reason.

It's not so much that there's only 6 games for me, it's what they are:
In the month of September LSU fans get to see one game in Tiger Stadium, Northwestern State.
In the month of October, the Tigers get Kentucky, Florida and Auburn at home.
Then in the month of November LSU plays Western Kentucky and Arkansas.
That's basically a 3-game home schedule, and really only one big game. One month of football - October.

This will basically be a home game for Lsu in Texas. Huge for marketing and recruiting.

I am sure that is a little of it, but I think he was ready to retire, but got talked into taking the job as the result of a pissing match between two different groups of LSU power brokers.
One group wanted to go out of state and get the best AD out there. The old school bubbas wanted Doug Moreau or some other LSU yes man to keep their power. I think Skip was the compromise and was never ment to be there for more than a few years.

Does anyone think it's possible that they try to push the return trip to WVa back to 2012? There's already 7 home games on that schedule with an open spot for the 4th OOC game.

This. LSU playing in Tiger Stadium >>>> LSU playing anywhere else. 100% of the time

Disagree completely. Going to Oregon would be an extremely difficult trip. There have been multiple studies done about how hard it is to travel West and play sports, plus they have a pretty damn loud stadium. This is basically in our backyard, we'll have a HUGE fan edge and it'll help in recruiting. Plus I get to go

Hopefully after this years LSU/Ole Miss game Jeremiah Masoli will call his buds in Oregon and tell them they want no part of these Tigers.

I don't think the majority of LSU fans/alumni will be happy with this UNLESS we pick up a 7th home game somehow. Of course, all the Houston and Dallas area fans/alums will like it..
It will be a home game from our perspective. OK not quite the same but we should outnumber the Duck fans 4-1
