That doesn't surprise me. I feel like if you go back even further the numbers are just as bad.

2015 actually teams wer eonly 9 of 13, about average.

2014 was 13 of 15 (Very high)
2013 was 21 of 26 (A bit above average)
2012 was 10 of 16 (Well below average)
2011 was 17 for 25 (Just slightly below average)
2010 was 7 for 14 (Amazingly good)

To be fair, we had a pretty crucial missed xp this year.

Someone mentioned 08 Bama. Man, talk about the greatest "what if". If Beckwith (I think) cuts back maybe LSU scores. Can't imagine that scene.

Didn't work out for Auburn too well in 2005 though.

It's pretty amazing really. I think the Troy kicker's only made FG all season was the one right before half time that hit the cross bar and fell over. Of course that ended up being the difference in the game. Crazy.

Dont forget the one Troy nailed before halftime after everyone thought the clock had ran out this year. Final Score: 24-21

It should have never come down to that, but Troy should have never been allowed to kick that field goal.

If the officials get the call right, there's no way they get that kick off, much less make it. The officials gave them an untimed down and 3 free points which they won by.

No, they had 2 seconds to snap it once the backjudge left but IRL had it been called correctly the substitution would've never been possible. That's where the gross misconduct is. If I were LSU i'd actually petition for a rules change where if a gameclock is overturned like that you can't substitute like you would from a normal timeout. It was actually the difference in the game.

Anyone remember circa 2000-2006 or so when opposing FG kickers in tiger stadium were like 50%?

Oregon St. and Auburn were both big contributors to that.

Correct. I started to say "basically an untimed down." The call basically functioned as one by letting them substitute, set up the formation, and snap all in a controlled manner. They didn't even have to rush.

And it seemed like between the 04-07 seasons, opposing FG kickers were cursed against us.

Curse that Les Miles! He now has lost control of the opponent's field goal kicking.

Thanks for sharing . I guess i lost focus on ST due to BDP and our putrid passing offense the past few years.

I still think we need a competent ST coach and just shadow staff and "committee coaching" on ST.

OTOH, Oregon State missed 3 extra points against us one time. LOL!

Re: Troy

Only LSU could get screwed by SEC officials in a rent-a-win game.
