Go back and watch the moment Cardoso shoves Flau’jae to the floor. Watch the difference in reaction between Staley and Mulkey.

Staley is maybe ten feet away and never moves during the scuffle. Not to reel in her player who just threw another girl to the floor. Not to break it up. Just stood there and watched.

Meanwhile, Mulkey is all the way near the LSU bench and comes running to try to get her players out of there. Didn’t hesitate, just took off.

So spare me the “Dawn so classy with her apology” rhetoric. Her ACTIONS were weak.

Idk why this is such a big deal at all. It was a little scuffle. shite happens all the time in competitive sports. At this level of any sport the players want to win bad, and these things happen. People are so soft. This wasn't Malice at the Palace.

Tigers dealt with Carolina like you do all bullies, smack ‘em. There’s no intimidation factor any longer, if there ever was under Mulkey’s watch.
Carolina is playing the media right now but that’s not their true personality.

They don’t need to “play” the media, the narrative plays out daily now.

LSU is truly the most hated Women’s College Basketball team on social media.

It’s pretty wild. The woke people hate Mulkey because she’s Mulkey and the right wing people hate Angel Reese because of the Caitlin Clark stuff last year.

We are on an island as lsu fans.

What I think is funny is everyone saying "this shouldn't happen in women's basketball", etc, etc.. Yet its being talked about on all sports media. All of the people who hate LSU and/or Kim Mulkey.. But the last two years LSU has brought a lot of conversation to the sport.

You need rivalries and villains to get more interest and it seems like LSU is providing both.. And personally, I like it.

According to Shannon Sharpe, all of that new attention and new viewers are due to Caitlin Clark and South Carolina. I agree about Caitlin, but Staley and USC were dominant well before the added attention. The finals last year brought tons of attention and it has carried over to this year.

Watkins from SC started all this. After Johnson committed the foul to keep the girl from making an uncontested layup she comes up to Johnson and gets in her face trash talking. Watch a tape from that angle. But the ultimate blame is on the referees.

No, this doesn't "happen all the time". Unless we've all been sleeping under a rock. Now, this is S.Car.'s 3rd at least such rumble. UConn's Gino A. jumped all over their "style of play. It doesn't belong in women's basketball". Then a few weeks ago the same player got started shite during the UNC game. Finally, while playing for her Brazile team, again only a few weeks ago, she punched an opposing player in the face. There is a pattern but it's not tied to women's basketball as a whole.

Yet everywhere LSU traveled this year, they met record crowds and tons of people who waited for them for an hour after the game looking for pics and autographs and NOT all were wearing purple and gold.

You know what that tells me? It tells me that all of what you mentioned above is the vocal minority and not truly representative of how popular this team really is nationally.

This is all you need to know about Dawn Staley’s “class.”

Dawn Staley: “If Nikki Fargas got Kim Mulkey's support at LSU, she might still be there.”
